For those pleading for speed at the WR position

What we need is a VERY GOOD or ELITE #1 WR, i dont think we're going to find that in the draft this year, and I don't think we're going to find that in free agency----so given that, what exactly is everyone disputing the OP's proposed plan?

All we can do is the best we can, look at the patriots--Brady has often lacked what would be considered a very good #1 WR and has managed to win superbowls. If we can't find a very good or elite #1 i don't see the point of wasting a bunch of money on a barely #1 or Could be a #2 type WR. Look how well Cam played against NO, if he can play that well and we have better offensive schemes and a better run game, then certainly Byrd and Samuel can be servicable and we can win a superbowl with them.

If its not a VERY GOOD or ELITE #1 WR, spend the money elsewhere IE O-line, DE

I think you need to be able to catch too.  Ginn would have NEVER been let go, if he held on to the fuging ball.  Samuel has already shown some butter hands, but he deserves the rookie pass.  Hopefully see a level change next year.

Byrd has shown great hands and ability to get separation and every chance he's gotten he's made the most of

I agree.  Byrd has impressed me twice in preseason and has made some amazing catches.   I hope he has a future here.
