Thomas has made a difference to the defense, also having everyone healthy makes a huge difference. Still the last two weeks were against Washington and Tampa. Tampa was starting a 2nd year 6th round pick for his 3rd game. If you don't play decent defense against those two, you might as well go home. Davis is awesome, Beason is still a beast; and Peppers has showed up the last two games, Charles Johnson is making Hurney regret making the trade for Brown; however the secondary needs to read 'Tackling for Dummies'

at least the bucs have a logical reason why they went from 9-3 to 0-6. other thans peppers wanted a long term deal what is the panthers problem?

Everybody had to know that it would take a minute to get used to the new schemes, right? Of course, it helps a lot when you have all your starters back, and Hollis Thomas has been a great addition too. In fact, I think Thomas deserves some of the credit for Peppers and the other DE's getting more sacks. It makes a huge difference when there is no place for the opposing QB to step up when the DE's beat their man to the outside.

no doubt, we're giving up points on offense and special teams and still winning. if the other two thirds of the game can get their crap together and start playing on the level that the defense is, we might actually improve on the 5-11 record i am predicting. i just don't see it happening on offense if we keep throwing int's and dropping the ball.

i'd love to see a stat on points off turnovers that we've given away compared to points we've scored. if anyone knows where to find that.

I hate to say this but.. Thomas might be better than Kemo. Kemo was a hole plugger. Thomas can not only plug the hole, but he can provide decent push up the middle (which Kemo has rarely done) That big cog in the middle is also allowing a little more freedom to the LBers.
