I had typed that exact thing out in my post and deleted it.  But I agree 100%.

I think Ron's response was very similar to Hurney's at the end of his first stint....but with a few more words.

When Jerry asked Marty how he was going to fix the mess of a team that he had created....Marty responded with "I don't know."

I think Tepper asked Ron how he was going to fix the team, and more importantly the defense, since that's where most of the money goes, and it's his background.  Ron only thought of 1 thing....do something that Tepper is comfortable with...and blurted out 34.
