It is easy to be a critic when you have hindsight.

I didn't put the connection together about the dual personalities on this mb until Monday.

I just wanted to be respectful of the dead and not get into hard discussions about his choices on the other threads that were intended to be for his family/huddle friends.

I was aware some of his instability but did not know the whole extent. I have been on this board long enough to know that the folks who were threatened are good people and the threats they felt were legitimate.

Let's not cast stones at people because their actions in this matter were not the actions some might have taken or see as "the right thing to do".

The whole story is sad and troubling in any way you look at it.

I hope I will be a better person and not be quick to make assumptions about people. I hope I have taken a lesson from this and learn from it.

AK - I never held my feelings against him back even when alive. He's the reason some good posters left. I didn't post in the other thread because although he did some good stuff, it doesn't counter the bad.

noted. You have the luxury of hind site on all of this. Hell, even my dumb ass could look like a genius on how everyone should have responded to all of the warnings looking from your view. If you are sitting in these shoes you look from these shoes. He did a lot of good things but he was truly unstable. He helped me but said enough to make the wife not want to go to tailgates anymore. He did threaten a lot of people here and backed those threats up with calls to clarify he meant it. I feel for him and his family. That being said, it's easy to view from forty thousand feet but a real bitch from the ground.

But, on a serious note, I think I've said enough to ease feelings of those who loved him, and hopefully comforted those who didn't... and probably sucked on a couple of my own toes in the process...

People had a chance to tell their stories in that other thread and if anyone hinted there might have been something more to things, they were told that kind of talk was inappropriate and to talk about it in another thread. Zod was brave enough to start that thread. I read your stories without comment. Now it's my turn to tell my story. I've got a whole lot more, but am choosing to keep them to myself.
