Can Panthers-Giants be moved to Monday night?

If Panthers win tomorrow, can Panthers-Giants be moved to Monday night if Home Field Advantage is in play? Isn't there a clause in ESPN contract where at the end of the season they can pick a good game for Monday night and have 2 games broadcasted (one regional and one national)?

Listen to Jangler. Jangler is wise.

Games can ONLY be flexed to Sunday night. MNF games are set in stone.

Additionally, if the game is flexed to Sunday night, we will know by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. They have to make the decision 12 days ahead of the game to give teams and fans time to adjust for the schedule change.

I would say that if the Panthers win tomorrow night, it's nearly automatic to flex the game to Sunday night. (The scheduled game is SD at Tampa. The Chargers are hardly worth a primetime game at this point.)

Monday Night games are set in stone but Sunday games are flexed but since the Giants have already clinched their division and will likely be in playoff mode, our game with them will be at the alotted time.

Thanks. It will be a huge game if we manage to win tomorrow.

I believe that's what's going to happen

True. I wonder if the networks can put enough pressure on the NFL to change that. It would mean a big logistical night mare for the home team, but it's not impossible if given 2 weeks notice. They change Sunday night and get the word out to the ticket holders. Should be able to do the same for a 24 hour change. (unless of course I've booked a flight and hotel reservations. :))

I'm in favor of it because we all know what kind of turkeys they have had for Monday night this season.

They most definitely will not be in playoff mode if homefield advantage is on the line. And it will be on the line if we win tomorrow.:D

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
