Why I believe Canalas is the coach for us.

I'm really impressed with the guy, Coach Canalas-But to keep this short....(Because I could really expand on this with alot of TDLDRLRTD'ed) I'd rather keep it short, sweet and simple.

Fun. What he and Dalton really expands on alot of...  underneath all the schematics, engineering of a playbook, contracts, grueling practice, sweat, tears and nagging pain, ibuprofens..,etc... Is bringing it back to why we played sports in our pee wee leagues. Because it was dog gone fun.
Pyschology of Fun on gameday.. Pretty easy to grasp, but this conduces looseness.

When you've learned something through basically muscle memory, the last thing you really need on gameday is the calculator robot without emotion. We are human, Emotion and fun of winning brings a locker room up faster than any large paycheck to the leagues best player or in other words, It's genius to lighten up.

Canalas does this naturally. Dalton does this naturally. These are guys you want to go out to eat with. Hang out with. They're fun. Before football, we're human.
How do we win as humans? trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

The obvious factors of knowing football are I believe pretty given at this stage of the sport.. The "IT" factor for this era, I believe, is their engineering of football X's and O's, but intrinsically the guys you have fun with.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
