I'm not even in a position to try reformatting yet. No external hard drive (old one went out on me recently), don't know if the school will put Windows 7 back on there for free.

Problem is still continuing. I'll try GRWatcher's suggestion once I have some time. It even tries to eject while the computer is in sleep mode and wakes it up (mainly while its in my backpack). This might be the last computer I get by Lenovo. it even went into sleep mode by itself recently.
