I don't understand why everyone keeps saying "wins vs. Teams that have nothing to play for". If we didn't beat Minnesota, they very well could have had home field throughout the playoffs and if the nfc championship were in the metrodome rather than the superdome then there could be a different super bowl.

Not to mention that the Giants were playing for a playoff spot AND closing down their stadium.
