Training Camp Info: July 30 & 31, Aug. 1

Thought it might be good to break out the schedule, special events info, etc. for the weekend practices.

Today (Friday, July 30)

3 p.m. practice (only practice today)

Saturday (July 31)

9 a.m. practice

Panther Pals - Panther Pals offers children between the ages of six and 13 an opportunity to watch part of practice from field level and then spend time with a player afterwards. Kids can register to be a Panther Pal at the welcome tent located outside the entrance to the practice fields. Five names will be randomly chosen about 30 minutes before the end of practice. The children selected will receive a Panther Pal T-shirt and will be escorted to a special area to watch the conclusion of practice.

3:30-6:30 p.m. - Junior Training Camp. Kids combine interactive football activities. Free. Ages 7-14. Wofford intramural field, located across from the Panthers practice fields. (Come up Twitty Street from Pine Street next to Starbucks; field is on the right.)

4:30-10:30 p.m. - "Back to Football" Party. Celebrate the start of training camp at Gibbs Stadium Plaza from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and following the Panthers' practice (6:30-8:30 p.m.). Festivities include a band, appearances by the TopCats and Sir Purr, face painting, food, giveaways, and more. Drawings for autographed items and 4 tickets to a pre-season game. Admission is free.

Sunday (Aug. 1)

3 p.m. practice

2-6 p.m. Family Fun Day - Enjoy the Kids Combine, Military Experience and more activities for the whole family. The Kids Combine promotes the NFL's Play 60 youth fitness initiative through a variety of interactive football drills. The South Carolina National Guard will help fans experience the military with hands-on displays.

Monday, there will be Panther Pals at the 9 a.m. practice, then Monday Night at the Movies following the 6:30 p.m. practice; Showing "Radio." James "Radio" Kennedy will attend for meet-and-greet.
