Stupid decision

Its funny how the panthers let Delhomme have mediocre games for the majority of his career at the panthers. Moore, however, comes into the season after have a great 5-1 run last year and does the same as delhome. Which the majority of the reason for the bad performance was the defense now being able to stop freeman from scrambling. Anyway, they put Clausen in and he does the same thing as Moore, but it was acceptable because he played for Wise. How gives a poo about that. If they were gonna replace Moore, which they shouldn't, they should put Pike in. He has much a much better college career than Clausen and he played for a much lower profile team. The panthers need to name looking for a name and start looking for performance. And where was stewart. I like williams but stewart should be the number won. He got the power so the middle runs will open up.

Yeah i do agree. But the results were the same. The think that made him look better was the fact that, for some reason, the running game actually pick up. But i do think that Pike should be the number to. He is a much better QB. He just not as big of a name. But i dont think that we should give up on Moore so early.

Smiff thanks for the grammar correction, now i know how to make my post a lot more coherent because im sure that my point wasn't getting across with the mistake of how instead of who.

I can't figure out what language to put into Babel Fish.... anyone?

Its not so much of a hater as i don't think that we should give up on Moore in the second game. They have wanted him to be the starter from day one, just because of him playing for Wise. But just because he played for Wise doesn't mean that he's awesome. Example is Brady Quinn. I think that we should give Moore a little more time. But without an oline nobody will be very productive

Its funny how the panthers (capitalize Panthers)let Delhomme have mediocre games for the majority of his career at the panthers (should be Panthers). Moore, however, comes into the season after have a great 5-1 run last year and does the same as delhome (misspelled and not capitalized). [/b](never start a sentance with "Which")Which the majority of the reason for the bad performance was the defense now being able to stop freeman (again, not capitalized)from scrambling. Anyway, they put Clausen in and he does the same thing as Moore, but it was acceptable because he played for Wise. How gives a poo about that (need I even comment?). If they were gonna replace Moore, which they shouldn't, they should put Pike in. He has(had) much a much better college career than Clausen and he played for a much lower profile team. The panthers need to name looking for a name (WTF)and start looking for performance. And where was stewart. I like williams but stewart should be the number won (one, LOL). He (has)got the power so the middle runs will open up.

Yes, you need help with writing.

How come you claim to know so much about how Jimmy Clausen and Brady Quinn played at ND, and how that's the reason they are getting a chance to play early, but are too clueless/stooopid to know that the coach they played under was Weiss, not Wise.

Furthermore, I guess we should all fill you in before you make anymore foolish comments about Clausen. ND runs a pro style offense which prepares QB's to run a pro style NFL offense, Cincy does not, and that's got ALOT to do with why Pike is the #3.

Ok i spelled his name wrong. but i know that they played under a pro style offense. And that was the point i was making about Quinn. Everyone hyped him up and said how awesome he was, but he turned out to be mediocre. In my opinion, the pro style offense doesn't help you account for the speed of the pro players. and what about the qbs that don't play in a pro offense in college and come to the nfl and have great rookie seasons, matt ryan. Im just saying that i like Pike and i don't think that Clausen should be so revered because of the WEISS factor

    • His footwork has been discussed many times over related to not just within the pocket but the quality of his drop backs and how while his receivers have been an issue his own footwork has created issues with his receivers. It is a mutual give and take dynamic after all. As far as his deep passing goes I will happily admit I saw some very impressive long throws from Bryce later in the season and I said so at the time and I'm still saying so now. That doesn't mean that there still aren't issues and beyond some instances of him flat out missing receivers deep that he knows he needs to get corrected I think there are still some throws to the sideline that defenses are going to test Bryce on early and often and until he can prove he can beat defenses on those throws consistently they will play him the same way. As far as talk of Bryce being top ten and the metrics that define that different people are going to have different answers and I've said before after the conclusion of the 2024 season that I'm going to try to put yardage aside in some cases and just focus on what Bryce is doing both between the 20's moving the ball and how our redzone scoring percentage is looking. The biggest thing I'm looking for this season is scoring points. Not just field goals. Touchdowns. If the offense is moving consistently and reaching the end zone more often than not and not squandering drives and settling for field goals then I am going to be content for the time being. I do not expect miracles this season. I expect development competiveness and both sides of the ball particularly the offensive given the investments we've made trending upward. And no blowout losses. I don't think that's an unreasonable ask do you agree? 🫡
    • It's also worth noting that Cam himself said that he felt safer when running vs. sitting in the pocket because he could see the contact coming and could better prepare for it. A QB running the ball doesn't have to be a sledgehammer. He just has to be effective.
    • That Falcons game is about as good as it gets. Especially on the road. I know the Falcons defense was bad but he was cooking with Coker, an undrafted rookie get the bulk of the receptions. If your QB has 5 TDs and 0 turnovers he is playing like a top QB, yardage be damned. The big question for me is how consistently can be play the whole season?  I don’t expect a game like that every week, but I also don’t want to see any performances like the pre benching or that Cowboys game (which was bad post benching). Bryce’s best shot at being the guy is becoming a mini-Burrow who is about as consistent as you can get at the QB position.  The good news is this QB class should be a fun one. So hopefully Bryce becomes the guy, if not it’s a nice class to let DC pick his QB and they should come into a great situation with a good OL, RB, young talented WRs etc…
