Thanks. If I get it, one of the guys I would supervise is a candidate who has been in my field about 20 years longer than me, but I have considerably better people skills and more managerial experience.

experience isnt everything. like u said if he doesnt have said experience in management and doesnt know how to work with people just because he has been in the field for 20 yrs doesnt mean he will get the job.

I know. Hell, I honestly believe I'm the leading candidate despite being in my field for almost 4 years. The other guys have 13 and 20 years experience. Not to blow my own horn, but the certifications I have managed to acquire in the short time in my field has made me stand out.
