Tampa Bay Lightning(19-27-12)vs. Carolina Hurricanes (29-25-5)

7:00 PM EST FSC

Coming off a nice 6-2 win over the Islanders, the canes are 3 points out of the playoffs coming back home. They are on a 3 game losing streak at home with a combined total of 15-2. Cam Ward will most likely be in net for the canes while since Kolzig is out I don't really know who will be in net for TB.

The canes have won all four meetings this season vs TB.

I expect it to be a playoff atmosphere and a nice 3-2 win for the Canes.

I will be in section 305 as usual.

Its about time they won at home! I really thought we were going to put 6 or 7 up, but the guys just kept whiffing on the open net. Great game for Corvo, all the more reason to trade Kaberle. He is the 6th guy in the rotation and making alot of money. Trade him for something and bring up someone from Albany.

I think it'd be hard to get rid of Kaberle. I believe they've tried placing him on waivers and nobody really bit on it. I'm not really sure how it works, but I think there's a way you can get a guy off waivers and only pay a portion of his salary.

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
