Looking for a webhost... cheap and long term

3-4 years ago I purchased a 5 year unlimited web host package on eBay. Total cost was only like 75$ or something. I ended up letting my domain name lapse, and had a pretty hard time getting any support on their end. I tried to change my domain name and use up the remainder of my 5 year package, but couldn't get anyone to talk to me.

Lately I've been looking into hosts again (same type package), but it appears that eBay no longer allows the sale of web hosting. I then took to Google to see what I could find, and it looks like the prices have went up a lot since the last time I had a website. I don't know if I'm looking at the right places or if I'm missing all the cheap "section 8" options.

I'm also looking for an email account to do with the domain. I currently use AOL, but ever since HuffPo bought them a while back, I no longer like it.

Things I'm looking for:

- Long term, paid up front... 5 years preferably

- 1 GB bandwidth + per month

- Email address

- Cheap!

- Support is of lesser importance

Am I just missing all of the cheap options that used to be all over the place a few years ago?

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
