speaking of TE's check out this local interview my friend got with Gary Barnidge, pretty good.... if someone could start a thread and post it for me that would be awesome... enjoy...

I know, Olsen and Shockey are performing well. But you need more than 2 TEs. When Barnidge comes off IR would be perfect for the 3rd spot. He is a receiving TE and this offense will play to his strengths.

Only problem with Barnidge is that his contract is up this year. Hartsock still has another year left on his deal after this year, so will likely return & Brockel is in same situation as Barnidge.

If Brockel can't come in & produce somewhere this year, I'm not sure how they would keep him, but he is a Rivera favorite, so he likely comes back.

Barnidge I don't think will come back, unless he signs pretty cheap. I agree that he is a good fit for this offense tho...esp. compared to Foxy's offense.

I like Olsen & Shockey both coming back...Shockey more for the toughness & attitude he brings, even more than his play (this team needs that...Smitty can't be the only guy on O like that).

I've always thought Barnidge would turn into a play-maker, but Fox didn't even try to utilize him right & I watched to interview of him & I don't like our players saying another sport (baseball) is their first love. I'm fine with seeing him leave. Fickle, yes, but we need intense committed winners, not ball & bat boys.
