He didn't average a ton of time before this year.

If you look at overall game, Robinson is the better player.

Again That's his fault be better then the man in front of you.

They play 2 different position with 2 different jobs. You can't compare them overall.

Of course Robinson will have more rebounds. Of course Barnes is a better shooter from the outside.

What are you comparing.

  • Defense
  • NBA Ready
  • Ability to impact the game

Don't get me wrong, I love HB40 and would take him second but here is where I rank our prospects

1. Thomas Robinson

2. Harrison Barnes

3. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

4. Bradley Beal

5. Andre Drummond

1. Nba Ready -well Trob is older and has played 1 more year of College Basketball. Who to say what kind of player Barnes or Drummond woud have been by their Jr. year.

2. Defense - Different position again Barnes has to guard more athletic players. Really can't compare this.

3. Ability to impact - We won't really know this until we see

What team they go to?

What is their role?

How much playing time they get?

Hell Trob could get drafted by a team with one of the Morris twins and not be able to beat them out again. (Just Kidding).

if the cavs want #31 for #24, If I am charlotte, I call washington, tell them we have a deal with the cavs for #2 for Beal, tell washington to swap picks and give up 32. Use #3 on Thomas Robinson. Use both those 2nd rounders to snag the 2 best players that fall from the first round.

Bobcats writer Rick Bonnell "wouldn't be surprised at all" if Charlotte traded their No. 2 draft pick to Cleveland in exchange for Nos. 4 & 24.

This is a hunch based upon Bonnell's discussions with "sources with lottery picks," and it meshes with GM Rich Cho's penchant for stockpiling first-round draft picks. The Bobcats may also buy into the popular view explained by Bonnell -- "After Kentucky’s Anthony Davis goes No. 1 to New Orleans, there won’t be a big difference between the next three to five players chosen."

This is from the Charlotte Observer, and doesn't mention the Bobcats throwing in their 31st overall pick.

I think the Cavs would cave first because right now the Bobcats hold all the cards.

I just hope 1 of the "Dreaded 4 contracts" is added. IF Tyrus,Carroll, Diop, or Maggette cand be added in then I'm good with the deal.

Diop, Carroll, and Maggette, contracts end after next season anyways, charlotte has 21 million to spend this summer, not really an issue, Tyrus Thomas can still be good. I think he just needs the motivation. But if they need to dump a contract, I would dump his first.

I have doubts on Tyrus. He will not adcept his role. He thinks he's better then he is.

Actually we only have about $14 million in cap space right now.

However we have the option to use the amnesty clause on Corey Maggette which would take that $14 million up to $24 million.

If the Bobcats draft HB40, that signals the end of Maggette's short tenure with the Bobcats.

Carrol is actually an unrestricted free agent right now but has an early termination option and everyone know's he's not going to use that so he will probably be around for at least one more year.

And like you mentioned Diop will be gone next year (praise GOD).

If Tyrus doesn't adept to is role this year, I expect him to become a huge trade asset in a few years when his contract is up.

I would love for Tyrus to be that now

    • Sure, but if that happens, the draft pick will look even worse for the Falcons, as instead of getting them a player that could win now, they took someone who ran off their prize FA QB after 3 years and now looks like they may be a bust. Penix was one of the more polished QB's in the draft and would have probably been a rookie starter if taken by someone with an uncertain starting QB, if he's not ready to step in and play well in year 3, then it's probably not going to work out. So the only way it helps their contract situation, is if it doesn't work out as they plan, but if it does, they're going to cut Cousins after 2 years and then have to give Penix a monster deal the following offseason.
