Who to root for - girls or giants??

ok... I can understand not wanting to play the giants after coming off a loss, but if I were you, I would still want the Giants to lose, because if they lose and you win this week, and then you beat them, you have homefield throughout, no matter what... if they win, then you still have to win ALL THREE of your remaining games to clinch homefield throughout.. so... in my opinion, I would rather HAVE to win only two games than have to win all three... that's just me though... especially because after playing a tough, grind out game like it will be against teh giants... full od adrenaline... I guarantee you will have a letdown the next week for at least the first half. so yeah...

fug Dallas! The Giants can basically knock them out this week. The Giants have already clinched their division. So they are no threat to us anymore (as far as making the playoffs). If the Panthers slip up, Dallas can still catch us. The Panthers control there own destiny with the Giants. All they have to do is beat the Giants themselves. Go Giants!!!!

wow... hey.. i'm not complaining lol... go ahead and root for the Giants... you do realize that if we get our stuff together next week, then we are gonna be rolling when you come into our place to face us, right? also... see my earlier post... even if you want to beat us, you would only have to win this week and beat us, and you would not only clinch your playoff spot, you would clinch homefield throughout, but if we win, then you would still have to beat us, with us having momentum, AND win your last game to clinch homefield, AND, if you don't beat us, you would STILL have to win your last game, coming off a tough game against us, just to MAKE the playoffs... but hey... I am not complaining about anyone who wants to root for the Giants... go right ahead lol...

I shall root for a TIE.

you would STILL have to win your last game, coming off a tough game against us, just to MAKE the playoffs... but hey...

That doesn't sound just right, as in it's not that simple.

well... you're two games up on the cowboys right now... so you have to win at least two games to clinch your playoff spot, cuz then they would finish one game down on you... if Tampa won out, you would end tied with them then, and you have the same division record but you won the head to head. of course, that is assuming that Tampa beats Atlanta and that you beat New Orleans., if you both lost those games, you would still ahve the same record, in which case though, you would have to win only one other game to clinch your division. so, in all reality, there are alot of ways you could make it, but the scenario i presented in teh previous post was assuming everyone else wins out.

Ehh it's Friday.

If you say so. ;)

I think this is a question better asked after the TB/Atl game. If Tampa beats them, its very likely theyre gona win there last two at home vs the SD and Oakland practice squads.

That means we would have to win out reguardless to even win the division, much less get the #1 seed, so an extra Giants loss this week would be irrelevant. The Giants could lose this week @ Dallas, lose to us next week, and we could still end up as the #5 seed with a 12-4 record.

So if Tampa wins im pulling for NY all the way, would love to have a playoff berth clinched this week in a tough NFC where 10 wins probably isint good enough for the postseason. If atlanta beats tampa, and we beat Denver, a Giants loss gives us a chance to clinch homefield throughout next Sunday night. In that case...yea I guess dallas.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
