NO JUST HOLD ONTO YOUR PAYROLL STUBS LIKE TEY WERE GOLD If they bounce a good lawyer can turn the personal suffering aspect into alot (depends on how good he is) Otherwise do not qiut if they fire you then you get more cash in the lawsuit and they have to pay you until you fnd a job.

Unemployment is rough out there why let them off the hook?

By law, workers comp attorneys can take no more than 30% of the settlement. They are more than motivated to get you your fair share and get their piece of the action as well. And nobody individually gets a bigger settlement from workers comp claims than attorneys.

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services also has a veterinary division that is the oversight agency for vet clinics, animal hospitals and the like. One can file a complaint with them, but they are not anonymous and may require sworn testimony. I called them yesterday on a recommendation from a friend but they won't do anything for me since I'm not in the state nor do I have an animal being treated there. Same thing happened with the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board.

I was issued another payroll yesterday. Today after work I go to deposit it but before I deposit it I ask the teller to check to see if there are funds available in my employers account to cover the check. She looked it up and said NO! There were not sufficient funds!!

I talked to my supervisor about it and she treated me like it was my fault. She was pissed that I checked to see if funds were available first. I told her that it was not my fault nor my problem and they needed to fix it asap. I called NCDOL today and she told me I could file a complaint after 10 days from the last paycheck. So if this is not cleared up by Monday I will be filing a complaint.

I just have no words. I've never in my life been treated like this by an employer. It is the most refugedupulous poo I've ever seen.

This place is going to wish they have never seen the likes of me before.

I called the industrial commission and they did say just as long as they accept the claim, I can quit, get fired, or even if the place burns to the ground or closes, I will receive benefits. But it was recommended that I not quit until the industrial commission accepts the claim, which it has not been accepted yet but it most likely will.

Are you having to rely on the employer to file the claim?

Unfortunately, the employer has to file a Workers Comp claim because they are the holder of record of the workers comp insurance policy.

I have no doubt LisaG is going to get the medical treatment she needs and I also know she'll land on her feet, just like most cats. I'm hoping the animals under the care of this place will get the same level of care.

My supervisor also told me NOT to talk about this or anything else with the other employees. I didn't sign anything that said I couldn't talk to my coworkers about this kind of stuff. Doesn't that violate my 1st amendment rights?

No, 1st Amendment only protects from infringement on rights by government. Private companies can restrict many things that employees may do as a condition of employment.

I believe you can report the incident yourself. See http://www.ic.nc.gov/claimants.html using a Form 18 (see Employee Forms at the bottom of the page).

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
