we HAVE to hit on whatever wide-receiver we draft this year

Agree. I really think that this year class of receivers may be the best group in a long time excluding 2011 of Green and Jones. I see all Allen, Hunter, Woods, Twill, Patterson, Rogers, and Austin being higher than say Stephen Hill this year. And Hill is having a decent rookie year.

I dnt see them being better than Green or Jones but I can see all of them being fine solid no.2 contributor and a couple as legit no.1.

As a UM fan I can tell you Ray Ray is pretty bad. But the measurables and talent are there. I believe Wilks can coach him up to be a good player. Lutz can probably be had a little later due to injury. Overall good mock, i like it.

I'll trust you with it since ur a U fan. But wouldn't you take him for pretty much nothing, a 7th?

We took Campell this year and he's really not doing nothing for us. I'd day Ray is much better than Campell. If not for his troubles, Ray would be projected as a 2nd to 3rd no doubt.

If he was a clone if Julio he would be a top ten pick. I like the draft but fug trading future first picks. The Hurney years are over

In his defense he was considered a first round pick until the character concerns came into play. He has the ability to be a #1 WR in this league.

For a 7th? No doubt. He might go undrafted since he just got declared ineligible by Faulkner. He's a bit of a tweener like TD coming into the league. He can try to stay at SS or gain a few pounds and switch to LB.

Yea, Im not saying that we're going to pick up just one FA, but Id would love for the new GM to go fill that need through FA is possible (Cason or Smith).

Im not sure what the trade value for trading back up into the 2nd would be now, but from previous past experience I'll have to say its going to be a "2014 1st rounder" (i.e. 2009 Hurney traded 2010 1st for Everette Brown). If not Id say it could be something like a 2014 2nd/3rd and our 2013 4th. I didnt want to mention the trade value on the thread bc people may look at this draft differently bc they dont want to invest future draft pick(s) ever. But I really believe that Da'Rick Rogers is worth trading a future 1st for. Hes a big physical receiver with real good speed. Scouts are calling him this year clone of Julio Jones.

Yeah maybe whoever we trade up with could use a player we are willing to trade. Ex: D will and a 5th for their 2nd. Could be a possibility.

I dno about a 5th and Dwill just bc very little team wouldnt want to carry Dwill's contract. And I wouldnt think a team would even swap straight up a 3rd for Dwill himself, so I cant see Dwill + a 5th in exchange for a 2nd next year. Maybe a rb needy team may do something like a "2014 2nd, Dwill and a 2013 5th" though just bc Lattimore went down pretty ugly and this draft has all of a sudden become very thin a the rb position.

True hes a bit of a tweener like TD. Hey may very well also go undrafted, but knowing a team like the Patriots, I have no doubt Belichick wouldnt give up a 6th or 7th for a player like Ray (i.e. Alfonzo Denard). And the Pats are also very thin at that position. or even Cincy a team who needs help at Safety (signed Vontaze Burfict).

Nice draft but I don't fee to happy about trading a future pick but I know that not having a 3rd this year is a killer. Also prefer T.J over Lester but still like the pick.

Need to hit on whatever WR we pick up in the draft. If Darick is BPA, I'll take him as he has the talent. RayRay is a head case and it'll depend on the new GM/HC philosophy on head cases.

Yea, but I just don't see TJ being there in the 2nd once we pick. If I thought that he would be there, no doubt would I have mocked TJ to us. Though, I think that Lester is a much better Saftey than TJ. He has experience playin in a Saban Pro Defense. And from looking at them, Lester seemed as a better cover guy than TJ. Both ballhawkers but mostly TJ is just a hard hitter, laying guy out only. Lester look to part as a better complete Safety than TJ but that's just my opinion.

But yea, not having a 3rd hurts us a lot and I'm on the wagon of "win now" rather than the rebuilding process. If we're one more piece of being a serious contender, I wouldnt not mind investing a future pick for another 2nd rounder. I really think we have the pieces to go deep if we could add legitimate talented guys like Star, Lester and Rogers on the team next year with the right coaching staffs. We have a lot of core veteran guys on this team with a Franchise QB who if we add the right pieces in the draft, we could be a serious threat. And this is not from a "homer" standpoint in any way. Look at the group of guys we have and it tells a lot. We just need to add the missing pieces with talents instead of being cheap in bringing guys off the street for a minimal price and have the right coaching staffs.

It's good....I like other safeties over Lester but I can live with it

I actually think Lester is the best FS out this draft. Though he's a SS at Alabama. Lester also has great experience playing in Saban's pro defense.

My favorite player going into this season was Eric Reid but I don't see him being a playmaker. Very solid like a Eric Weedle but I think what we need playing in this division with a lot of receivers is a ball hawker like Lester. Vacarro is also solid but man I can't trust any of those Longhorns defender. With that much talents on that team this year and they're still getting blown out.
