AFC East/NFC South

Didn't realize we were the last NFC team to beat NE in the regular season. Also didn't realize that one of our biggest offseason question marks is now being heralded as one of our strong points. Should be some fun games to watch, at least against Brady & Co.

4. New England's offensive line against Carolina's pass rush: We'll know long before Week 14 whether Brady's reconstructive knee surgery has made him skittish about pressure, but the Panthers have one of the NFL's most dangerous pass rushes, starring Julius Peppers. Even before Brady was hurt, he was known for hanging in the pocket for that extra beat and taking shots to deliver the ball. The Panthers recorded the ninth-most sacks in the league last season and drafted Florida State edge-rusher Everette Brown.

    • Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.
    • Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.
    • I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
