Best Family Share Wireless Plans

Recommended Posts

OK, the family contract is up the 31st.

I have 4 phones through Sprint.

Mine, the wife's, the kid's and mom.

I'm the heaviest data user we need 3 smart phones and Mom's phone only needs phone and texting abilty.

We're going to upgrade at least the 3 smart phones we currently have.

Don't seem to be able to find a better price than I do now with Sprint.

Anybody out there with a sweet deal?

Check out republic wireless.

They are actually based in Raleigh.  Basically they have cheap plans with the idea that when you have WiFi you'll use that to make calls and texts and data.  Which everyone should anyway.  Their technology allows you to make calls through WiFI and pick up to cell network when WiFi drops.  When not on WiFi they offer just cellar/text, 3g, or 4g on Sprint network.  Unlimited data and texts on each one.  No contract.  You buy the phone up front and then just monthly for service.  Right now the best phone is the Moto X which is a nice phone, it's like 249.99 up front (pretty cheap for this phone) but there may be some deals, not sure.

You can change your plan on each phone 2x a month.  Say you don't need 4g at home but you are going on vacation, and want it, you can activate it.  It'll prorate on your bill.  They even offer a "WiFi-only" calling plan for $5 lol.  I think monthly for 4g it's like $39 a phone for unlimited everything, 3g is like $25.   If you keep the phones for almost 2 years you'll save a lot of money compared to other carriers.   I like having no contract and not dealing with that kind of nonsense.    So far the MotoX has been a great phone.

I wasn't getting 4g at work (because I work in a server room under ground and didn't need it at home, so I dropped to 3g in like 5 seconds to save money.  Cool thing is you can get one phone, try it, and if you like it, add the others.  Flexibility is huge with Republic.

Edit***: I Just seen in my e-mail they have a refer a friend program.  If you sign up we both can get a $19 credit to our account, go to this link if interested:

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
