It's still very early but it looks like our defense is going to be able to manhandle some teams this season. Cam might have an up and down season, looking great at times, and terrible at others. Our defense throttled the Falcons and Saints at the end of last season. No contest. Our defense should be even better than last season in my opinion. The question is have the Falcons and Saints retooled their offense to compete with our elite defense? We'll have to wait for the answer and that's part of the fun.
TD was the hardest hitter I've ever seen play for the Panthers. In his prime he hit someone so hard one night I thought he was dead. He had to go to the ER. I think it was a special teams play, but it's been a long time. TD would almost murder players. He doesn't hit like that now, but in his prime good lord. Shaq doesn't hit like that, but I love his violent tackles as well.
How would you describe the Pats coverage of Ginn overall in last nights game? How did the Pats DBs do against Ginn? Now compare that to Brown. Any difference? Do you think has Ginn has slowed down over the years? Who runs more and better routes? I'm asking these questions because your answers will reveal why we disagree. I'm interested in your view since you seem to live and breath Panther football, although for some reason you're usually extremely negative.
Last season Brown would use his chest to catch passes whenever possible. Even his deep catches were on plays where he turned around to face the ball and use his chest. Unfortunately we just don't have the WRs to be able to cut Brown imo even with his preseason meltdown.
