I see we're in the lull between the preseason and reg season where everyone's criticizing everyone for everything because moves/non-moves are being made, injuries have happened, and we don't know what to make of it! AaahaAhh!
Looking at young cheap but somewhat upgrades: -Matt Hazel or Cobi Hamilton could be an odd man out in Miami -Sleeper cut: Jared Abbrederis in GB Justin Hunter and Robert Woods would be two names that have produced with contracts that aren't incredibly substantial. Both minorly injured atm but would definitely be upgrades.
That's my line of thinking as well. The thing I wonder is Boykin played with Tyrod and Logan Thomas at school then with Rodgers. So he's grown playing around mobile and elite QBs. You're right though, it seems they kept him on the receiving end of Anderson and Webb throws. They must just not of thought of him as a fit.
Yeah there has to be something. A few poor practices early on in the summer can't of been the crux of it. He may have not seemed to fit the system we want to run with Cam. They obviously favor Bersin over him, aren't getting rid of Cotchery, and just acquired Norwood who I guess they've had a thing for since pre-2014 Draft. The other WRs here are quite different types. It seems like Boykin was never climbing the chart here.
Our most proven vet receiver was 5th on the Cardinals depth chart last season behind 2 rookies. KB was like the one guy who we didn't want injured this year. whatevs. We'll see what happens the rest of this week.
I have three things: -They simply must not of thought he was a system fit. He caught the bulk of his stuff from Anderson. -It's early because they think it gives another team a chance to pick him up -Regardless of him here or not, our WR unit still sucks
It's essentially a loophole for some GMs to jump to the head of the waiver wire if they hear about a guy about to get cut. We must have some people whispering quite readily throughout the league for potential cuts.
As a team late on the waiver wire and considering it's the cuts-to-75, this is the easiest way to ensure your top guy that at the position that got cut.
The thing for me is knowing him, he's super passionate about the game and a hard worker so it's nothing mental. Also, he knows how to move around when a play breaks down or is extended having playing with Tyrod and Logan. I personally don't get it.
