Baltimore would be hurting without Smith for sure. I also dont think their run game is very good without Ray Rice, but I was thinking about their Superbowl season when they were a very balanced team. Stellar defense and keep the ball away offense with a power running game and a QB good enough to manage the game and make some plays. I think this is what the Panthers want to be able to do, but with younger players than Baltimore had that year. As for the Patriots... I think that offense is a product of Bellichecks schemes. Their offense is good no matter who is at WR, and even with a backup QB.
I agree... but dont forget that our oline has improved this year, and that would have helped to balance out things a little more. But with last years offense we were very D-heavy. We have made improvements, but losing KB obviously hurt.
I have Ginn with about 600 yards and 6 or 7 TDs. That will be second best among WRs, with Funchess being our 'WR1' this year. Olsen will lead the team in both receiving and receiving TDs. He will be the only pass catcher with 1000 yards.
I think we should float some trade offers. Trade a 3rd for a decent WR, or even a first for a team that wont compete this year but has some WRs, like Tampa or the Browns. I dont like trading 1sts, but id you get a good player, at least you wont bust, already getting a known commodity.
I still dont know how to post videos with the new format, but here is a link of his highlights in 2013. He is tall and has good hands. Can produce on gameday when called upon, and looks like a decent athlete too. I wonder if the coaching staff is sleeping on him, or if he is a 'secret' weapon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20X-GNof2BQ
Lee Ward? Really? Im dissappointed. I guess the writing was on the wall though... hardly got any playing time this preseason. I kinda feel that it is a mistake. We are going to have to produce with our running game this season...
