Want to reduce gun violence more?  Keep THESE guys behind bars.  Like I've said before...instant 10-20 years if you commit a violent crime with a gun with no possibility for parole.  This little girl would be alive today if that jerk was still in jail.

Nanuq....go read the ACLU's take on it.  I'm sure you can cut and paste from there.

No one is saying that.  Seat belts also are not a constitutional right.  If you're going to put, as you all say, scheissepost, do it in a google thread.

Tell him to wiki 2nd amendment while you're telling him we're sorry for his loss.
Did he say what law he wants passed?  Have you said what law you want passed that would've prevented her death?

I'm saying when people take national stats and compare them to other countries, some being near homogenous...that the numbers are not apples to apples.  PJ O'Rourke used the same retort to a smug Swede when he was boasting about unemployment in Sweden, where O'Rourke made the comment that among Swedes in the US the unemployment rate was very low.  You can read into that however you want to read into it, but you simply cannot dismiss the point.
Subtract out habitual felons, drug dealers, and gang bangers and let's see how the gun homicides stack up.

What don't you understand.  Take your Canadian and Swiss stats,  apply those against Swiss and Canadians living in America with our wild west gun laws.  How do they compare.

    So?

Among Canadians and Swiss in America, gun violence is super low.

My brood has never been picked up, Panthro.  I or the wife personally deliver.  One I sent to private as to avoid the terrible middle school we have no option of opting out of.  I will have to have two in private next year unless I can find a way to transfer out of the node we're in.  We'd done it once when Wake county offerred choices, but democrats removed choices when they retook school board.
