  1. yeah sorry for not picking up on the nuances of your one-sentence post earlier in this topic and no the notion that spending money=bad team isn't something that's embedded into my brain. i basically agree with the notion that loomis just sucks at building a roster which is why the saints have sucked following that approach.
  2. it seems like it's a notion you disagree with considering hurr durr the saints are going to collapse any day now lol huddle e: to make it more clear it's like you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. like you're implying we're all idiots for thinking the saints are a house of cards but at the same time acknowledging that yes without brees they'd be a dumpster fire. so what are we arguing about?
  3. and it's not that they're cap strapped, it's that they're cap strapped and not a serious super bowl threat every year e: or rather big spenders. i don't know if they're up against the cap right now, i know they've moved some salaries around recently
  4. they would legitimately suck without their quarterback and he's old as hell so put two and two together
  5. you'll have to wait for a certain mole owner to hang it up.
  6. pat was blubbering for months in smack central about him shutting down hardy in the second half of the rain game against the saints in 2013 legitimately one of the best OTs in the league so the number shouldn't be all that surprising.
  7. could you give me his username? we could probably cure cancer together. great minds and whatnot.
  8. this thread haha i'll take my pie now thanks
  9. Trai Turner hires new representation...

kelechi osemele is averaging $11.7 million/year but that's the highest by a few million http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/average/guard/ as the cap ceiling continues to rise i'd think that number is only going to become more normal though

  12. Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

yeah the patriots thing was an exaggeration. but, ron goes and gettleman has to hire a new head coach and coaching staff? i think we'd get by. and that's no slight against rivera. e: and nah, i don't think any amount of coaching would have helped that defense stop anybody. it was almost the worst in the league and was pathetic talent-wise due to injuries early in the season. that was a major reason why we couldn't hold on to leads.
  13. Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

we might have won a few more games in 2012 but i think even the 2007 patriots would have had a ceiling of 9-7 on the 2011 team no matter how many times ron would have gone for it on 4th down. the 2011 team was one of the top offenses in football that season, tied for 5th in scoring but was still 6-10. i think a lot of the losing that year had to do with an immense amount of pressure being put on cam to win in shootouts because we just couldn't stop anybody on the other side of the ball, and it was a genuine personnel problem. the LB corps was atrocious after davis and beason went down and it's not like a d-line with charles johnson, a still-developing greg hardy, and two rookie starters who would prove to be eventual busts was anything but a sieve funneling punishment at them. i'm not even sure riverboat ron makes an extra win's worth of difference in 2011. chud came out of the gate having cam sling it all over the field and it still didn't translate to wins.
  14. Rookie Camp - Need your input

yeaaahhhh that aspect kind of slipped my mind
