He sucks, but less than Philly Brown.  Still not interested.

That's interesting, because when I laugh I make an audible sound emanating from my mouth.  Whereas you apparently have installed some voice-to-text translating technology on your devices that transcribes your laughs into, "Proudiddy loves to tell people how he was the first guy to like a player."

If that's true, you are one of the happiest dudes I know, because you have laughed a hearty, belly-belting, solid three times in the last three days at least.  I'm glad I bring joy to your life and that my posting clearly doesn't bother you.  Thanks for your participation and valuable contributions to every thread you have quoted me and laughed in over the last week.

Yes, because I haven't projected guys to suck either?

I also freely admit when I'm wrong...  I didn't like the KB pick, and he proved me wrong.  Either way, I'm vocal about how I predicted them to turn out.  If I'm right, I proudly admit I was right and happy that I was because it means it benefits our team.  If I'm wrong, as I rarely am, like I was with KB, I will proudly admit that as well, because it benefits our team.  I didn't like the CAP pick either.  I was wrong.  And I'm eating my crow happily.  The answers are there, you, in your selective reading, only see what feeds your dislike for my online persona/posting.
Why does that bother you?  Maybe you and tiger can start a fan club for me if you'd like to keep following me and posting how much you don't like me or what I post.  But, I don't want to upset you too bad BWood, I wouldn't want you to have to go off on another racist tirade.

Now, get on topic.  Hint:  The topic isn't me or your dislike for my posting habits.

After Williams' performance last night, it would be stupid to cut him.  But, I'm still holding out hope.  They have several young guys that were with them last season as well.

If demonstrating that I have a good eye for talent and providing proof of it from my motherfuging la-z-boy is being a hipster, then crack me open a fuging PBR and inhale my woodsy, natural essence.

If by rebuttal, you mean following me from thread to thread to try and avenge being shown up in a previous thread by posting passive aggressive, baseless, condescending, provocations (aka trolling), then you are a regular internet Perry Mason.  Pat yourself on the back and help yourself to a cookie.

How pathetic is it that you came in this thread simply to poo on the premise of a WR possibility for no reason other than to be a agitative contrarian (aka trollololol)?  Seriously, go back through this thread and look at your "contribution."  LOL.
You came in this thread, supposedly attacking my "football intelligence," or however you put it, and here is the beauty of it...  Your beef started with me because I disagreed with Gettleman's lack of activity and attention to the WR position.  I didn't feel comfortable with our FO and staff's alleged confidence in their guys and not providing them competition to prove their worth.  I decide to look for potential "fits" with Gettleman's preferences at WR, and lo and behold, I find one.  Now, here is the beauty of it...  YOU CAME IN THIS THREAD AND ATTACKED ME, AND MY "FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE" FOR BELIEVING IN A PLAYER THAT GETTLEMAN HAS ALREADY OFFERED A CONTRACT.  LOOOOOOOOOOOOL!  I then say he would come in as an "immediate starter" for our weak WR group, because as I previously mentioned (and you conveniently ignored), the guy our staff was projecting to be the other starter opposite KB has been on the verge of being cut due to his lackluster performance.  I then provided additional context as to why he would be a potential starter here - Their beat writer claims he could be a starter in SD, and again, if you read the article, he derives that POV from interviews with teammates and he player himself.  Additionally, Phillip Rivers reportedly has nicknamed him, "Little Malcolm" for his similarities to Malcolm Floyd.  In case you haven't figured it out at his point, that illustrates the belief people who have witnessed him in camp and games have in him to be a huge contributor for a really talented WR unit in SD.  Their QB compared him to their starter, and their beat writer supported that claim.  Again, all for a guy Gettleman tried to sign after the draft.

Man, I wish you showed this much ability to scrutinize and critique the shitty UDFAs we currently have.  There was a reason Gettleman wanted him here, and it's not because Brown and Bersin are untouchable.  Also, here is a genius thought...  Maybe the Chargers don't want to cut a talented, veteran, PROVEN guy that their franchise QB has a rapport with and trusts, especially when his current deal is justified by that trust and production?  Nah...  That couldn't be it.  I mean, using your logic, why don't we just cut Norman and save some money for a young, talented, athletic guy wiht potential like Teddy Williams?  Seems like a sound strategy, or maybe not...  Maybe they know it isn't wise to cut their #1 WR for the sake of just doing so, EVEN if there is a guy that can push him on the roster.  Maybe they believe competition makes everyone better, so maybe the only thing that separates their #1 and #5 is age and experience, so it works to their benefit to let the young guys develop when it's not necessary for them to play now?  That way, they're constantly full of talent and don't miss a beat due to injury or players leaving.  Or maybe that's just a ridiculously stupid hypothetical question (at least I hope) someone would throw out there, not fully thinking it through, in an effort to simply be an antagonist?

You don't want people to question or criticize what we have or our lack of additions at the position.  You don't want to do a trade.  You don't want to sign any available veteran FAs, because according to you, they are "mediocre" and even at 750-850k, "too expensive."  So, I research a guy, read up on him, find out Gettleman liked him and tried to sign him.  Turns out, he could be available and had for cheap, is young and full of potential, and I say he could be an answer to our problems due to our previous connection, and you insult my, errr, Gettleman's football intelligence for wanting him?  LOL.  Good luck finding the exit in your rabbit hole there...  destination, nowhere.

In summary, you have contradicted yourself and crossed the very line you drew on the subject long ago, all at the expense of simply trying to affront, undermine, and insult me.  Congratulations, big man.  Can you make yourself any more apparent as a troll?  Do you want me to send you my picture to fap to tonight?
Feel free to stop now.  It really is sad.

edit: And I didn't threat to moderate you, I reminded you to stay on topic, which you apparently failed to comprehend, or in your childish quest to troll, completely and willfully disregarded.

I'm not a fan of auto tune either, but it has had its moments.  Regardless, I don't think I've ever heard Miguel use auto tune.  Not in this song either...  He has used reverb and like a fuzzy distortion effect though.

Damn, Texans cut Kourtnei Brown...   Was pulling for him after watching Hard Knocks.  Also, if I had a chance to punch one person in the face as hard as I could in the entire world, unpunished, Mike Vrabel may be in the lead candidate.

If you would quit trolling and actually read instead of seeing me as the author of the thread and deciding "herp derp won't read...  let me go pick a line out of context and troll him with it," you would see that quote was already explained.   Combined with all we know about him from a talent and production perspective, the Chargers beat writer said he is a starting caliber talent, and is good enough to start for them if they weren't already so deep.  So, a natural progression in that logic would suggest if he can start for a team with a loaded, more talented WR corps, then he would certainly start here, where our projected starter dropped more passes than he caught and is on the verge of being cut.
If you're mad bro, go for a run or something and let that hate out.  Or you can keep stalking me through threads and show everyone how petty you are.  Your choice.

Wow,  he's now high up on the wishlist as well!  I also was hoping we would draft him too, as he has the size and measureables to be special...   Bonus:  IIRC, we also worked him out or brought him in for a visit...   Someone less lazy might want to verify.  But, if say that means there is a good chance we'd be interested.

Watching some of their game last night, he is another guy that instantly "flashed" for me, as Mayock likes to say.  He looks like he is operating as a different gear than everyone else on the field.  But, without looking, he didn't appear to have the ideal size that Tyrell Williams has.  Still, very intriguing.

  12. Proudiddy added a post in a topic Marcus Lucas took reps at WR and TE last night. Caught TD lined up as a WR.

Honestly, I like it...  I was a big fan of Lucas in camp last season, and to me, I thought he looked better and more talented than McNutt and King last preseason from what I saw of him.

He could be a great swing/hyrbid/flex-type guy for us going forward, and the better in-line blocker he becomes, the greater the weapon he is.  I hope we keep him in that swing role, and still keep Swole as the official 3rd TE.

The one thing that could still hurt Lucas is, I still don't think he's a strong enough in-line blocker, even for ST, and he certainly isn't ideal for the gunner or coverage unit, so that may hurt him.
