  1. 2015/16 Bundesliga Thread

Ilkay Gundogan has dislocated his kneecap in training. Out for the rest of the season and will miss Euros.
  2. 2016 Europa League Final

Liverpool are in the Europa league final against Sevilla (current back-to-back champs) on May 18th. This year, a spot in the Champions League is up for grabs. Seeing as neither team are on pace to qualify domestically, they will both fight extremely hard to win this trophy. It will be more exciting than another Madrid UCL final!

Unbelievably lazy. Never broke out of a light jog even once. Unreal.

    Welp. Madrid-Madrid it is.
  6. 2015/16 UEFA Champions League

KDB having a shocker here. Aguero once again absent in UCL knockouts. Boring match.
  7. Summer 2016 Transfer Window

Kevin Volland is reportedly available for £12m and Liverpool are interested. We need an out-and-out winger, so he'd fit perfectly.
  8. Summer 2016 Transfer Window

Thomas Tuchel has apparently told the Dortmund board that he doesn't think Gotze fits his style and may not want him. This is the last I am going to comment on the Gotze rumors until something concrete comes about. This is getting crazy haha.

Welp, that was entertaining to say the least. Simeone punching time judges, players bottling shouldn't-have-been penalties...Atletico are through to their 2nd final in 2 years.

It's also fair to note that I am extremely jealous about all of this. Liverpool have finished with greater than 77 points 4 times since 2002 with no titles to show :(

No, using that logic you can see why a stronger-than-normal smaller club could challenge for (and win) a title in a year where bigger clubs did themselves in. I have to believe that if Tottenham had not played the extra 8-10 matches down the stretch, they probably would have had a very good chance at the title. It's a great story and I'm glad people are excited about it. Hopefully it helps the league continue to grow. But next season when Leicester have to juggle Prem, UCL, FA, and League Cup matches, everyone will see just how hard it is to get through that. They will do well to stay in top 8.
  13. Summer 2016 Transfer Window

This Bayern-Dortmund transfer saga is going to heat up when the season is over. Reportedly, Ancelotti may opt for Raphael Varane as his big CB signing this summer. If so, Hummels may be viewed as surplus to requirements, which could ultimately make Gotze more available to other clubs. Personally, as much as I love Hummels, I think Varane is the better defender. Some of Hummels defending is shoddy, but he's a great passer and has excellent vision. Varane is obviously considerably younger as well. Depends on what Ancelotti wants from his CBs.

It was our amateurs against their professionals. I consider that pro sports. And no, it's not the same as a 10 month, 38 match season in which all their competition is playing in several other competitions mid week that they bowed out of early.

The Premier League has revenue sharing and Leicester have plenty of money to spend. They just got players without having to spend much at all. Like I said, no injuries is huge for a Premier League campaign and they barely had any at all. Also- the miracle on ice trumps this every time. That's America's "equivalent".
