  1. Players cut after the draft (might we have interest?)

Slauson might be a look for a good depth signing
  2. I wish Josh all the success in the world. Except when he plays Carolina of course. It's not often guys go out of their way to try and connect with their fan bases like Josh did. At the end of the day our defense just doesn't have the need for a 16-18 million dollar corner and unfortunately for Josh this was going to be his one true shot at a big pay day. I have no animosity towards him and really no Panther fan should. I support Gettleman and his decision to move on from Josh. I think in the end both sides got the best deal possible.
  3. Panthers list Jeremy Cash as linebacker.

Yea that's likely what will happen however we did run a lot of the Cover 2 shell last year with 2 safeties deep. If we are going to use Shaq in place of a SS that will cause us to shift more to a cover 3 which isn't necessarily bad....but it does make a difference. It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing.
  4. Panthers list Jeremy Cash as linebacker.

That is kind of disappointing. He must not be good in coverage at all. I thought we finally may have gotten a thumper in our secondary. Guess I was wrong. Who in the hell is going to be our starting SS?
  5. Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

I'll try and explain the BPA philosophy the best I can. There are a few things that go into the "BPA" method that you have to consider. We will never draft a player that is not a need for the team. Every team's draft board is different. We place guys at the top of our board who are smart, have some production, and fit our scheme. I have no doubt all 3 of those corners were close to the top of our board when we picked. The only one that may have been a slight reach was the Worley pick. But Gman is so smart and so good at drafting I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this draft.
  6. Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

This thread is the reason why I wish we had neg rep.
  7. Gettleman's post-draft press conference - video

Idk how anyone could ever doubt the Gettlefather. The man just knows how to build a football team.

Why didn't cash get drafted? He must have virtually no coverage ability.
  9. Bradberry given JNo's number

I was hoping one of them would get it
  10. Sign Anquan Boldin

Maybe not in yards but in points scored we were #1.
  11. In case you lost count....

So do you think there is virtually no chance that Whorly gets a shot at SS?
  12. Don't Sleep on Dean Marlowe

Hmm I'm not so sure I'm keen on switching Coleman to SS. I've seen that mentioned a few times now but with the success he had last year at FS I don't think moving him would be the best fit. I do believe something needs to be done and it looks like we have Dean, Tre, and at least one of the rookies (Bradberry or Worley) are in the mix for SS as well. It will definitely be interesting to see how things shake out.
  13. Panthers Select Zack Sanchez CB Oklahoma in the 5th Round

This must mean the only CBs guaranteed a spot are Bene and Boykin. Going to be some great battles in TC with all the new blood at DB.

Pick is in Prepare Huddle Meltdown in 3...2...1...
