  1. Have we had this thread yet?  Didn't notice it. Here's mine: halftime score will be 10-0 Panthers. Our TD will be a defensive one.  There will be concern about our offense for the second half after being held to a FG in the first. Final score will be 27-7.  Cam will throw one and rush one TD in the second half, Olsen gets the throw.  Stewart gets 120 yards. Olsen gets 130. Ginn, Brown, Cotchery and Funch combine for 150 on mostly short, chain moving passes in a game where the run game is heavily featured.
  2. SNL does Cam and Peyton

    That was pretty good.
  3. A Carolina Panthers Story |2015| Promised Land|

Those were great. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Conan...that poo not funny

There was a link earlier in the thread, but here's another one. http://www.nfl.com/videos/game-day-pulse/0ap3000000633491/Conan-O-Brien-delivers-NFL-Honors-opening-monologue

  8. Conan...that poo not funny

"The Browns hired someone from the NY Mets.  They figured out the problem.  They were playing the wrong sport."
  9. Conan...that poo not funny

I thought it was hilarious. On Mexico City game: "I think it will be very interesting, to see two NFL teams go missing."  I laughed hard at that one.
  10. #1 Defense vs. # Offense Narrative

Yea, that comment wasn't directed at our own rank.  Just in general, dst points shouldn't be counted in scoring offense.
  11. I have no problem with this as long as the rules are amended to make "personal fouls" or whatever falls under the "red/yellow card" idea be the ones that are either intentionally malicious or overly reckless.  Two taunting penalties or brushing the facemask with the pinky fingertip or something like that shouldn't get someone kicked out.
  12. I grew up with this team

Mine is a similar story :) I was 13 when the Panthers were made.  I had already been an NFL fan for 5 years (first was a fan of Lawrence Taylor, then in 92 switched to the Cowboys pre-SB cuz they were fun to watch).  I was the ONLY football fan in my entire family, though.  I started by randomly flipping on the Redskins vs Bills Super Bowl at the age of 8 (or so, don't remember exactly, just did backwards math) and instantly became hooked.  I still vividly remember watching that one, I made a big yellow bowl of popcorn with some Lawry's seasoning salt and was mesmerized.  Needless to say, switched over to Panthers in 95 and never looked back :)  Love this team.
  13. #1 Defense vs. # Offense Narrative

I agree with most of what you said, but not this.  Points win the game, points are what matters.  I DO agree they should remove defensive/st touchdowns from the total.  I've always had a problem with that.  Scoring offense should be points scored by the offense.  "Total offense" is affected by a bad st return game just like "scoring offense" is affected by a good defense that gets turnovers and gives the offense a short field.  So you can't look at either in a complete vacuum, and since points are what matter I think scoring offense is the best way to look at it.  Always have.  And scoring defense the same way, points are what matter so the defense that prevents the most points is the best defense.
  14. #1 Defense vs. # Offense Narrative

Yea the #1 offense vs #1 defense rhetoric is annoying. We're #1 in offensive points (the stat that matters) they're #1 in defensive yards (the stat that doesn't).  If you're gonna compare ranks like that you gotta use the same scale. It's the #1 offense vs the #3 or 4 or something like that defense.
  15. The salt is strong in that article, but it's not wrong.
