  1. Forget predictions. Who do you want?

Treadwell, Lawson, Ogbah, Joseph, Cravens, Shepard, Cyrus Jones
  2. Jaylon Smith at that pick would be so cool.
  3. Game 5 - Hornets @ Miami

You're right. And he has. But it was a credit to Spo and their defense that he and the offense were so limited again. Lin had the same issues on the second unit. Some of those shots were late in the clock when there was no ball movement at all, which I would attribute to the insertion of Batum and those chemistry kinks with the rotations we were all worried about. A healthier, more in rhythm Batum should really change things, as well as the realization that we can finally get back to playing Hornets basketball, and we are at home. Also it's unfair to compare him to a first ballot HOFer. Man, that guy turned back the clock and nearly won it for them.
  4. Game 5 - Hornets @ Miami

He is at his best when he drives to the basket like in Game 4. He settled for jumpers tonight because the Heat keyed on stopping those drives, but it unleashed our dormant 3 point attack. At the end of the day, even if he isn't shooting well, he's great at pace and limiting turnovers, and you still have to respect his range as he showed tonight. Wasnt pretty again, but give me that W.
  5. Courtney Lee Appreciation Thread

    BUMP!
  6. If they could ever get healthy, McDermott would have a field day. When you're already set with a majority of your roster like the Panthers, why not?
  7. That bruh Batum sounds like he's coming back tonight.

This season he hasn't been very good at anything less than a hundred percent. Not too thrilled but at this point with our shorter rotation we just need someone to get quality minutes. Can't have Lee playing 40 a night. As long as he doesn't try to do too much, he should be a big help, especially on the offensive end.
  8. Time To Let Rich Cho Go?

This thread would have been great last year, not after the best season in fourteen years...
  9. Time To Let Rich Cho Go?

Well, he's also holding the broom he got out after Game 2, so...
  10. NBA Playoffs Discussion

If the Pacers can upset the Raptors (absolutely a possibility) and the Hornets can somehow win this series (less likely, but still possible) Charlotte would have HCA in the 2nd round against a team they swept in the regular season. Sports, man...
  11. Time To Let Rich Cho Go?

We just improved 14 wins from the previous season, have won consecutive playoff games after a 14-year drought. We are doing this without MKG, our most important player. Could Cho have made better draft picks? Absolutely. But you can't deny where the team is right now because of the roster that was built basically on the fly last offseason through various means. He's still money on the trade market and the Kemba, Marvin, and Lin deals are absolute bargains. There's a chance for the franchise to have stability for the first time ever when we bring our FAs back this offseason.Guy isn't going anywhere. Overreaction thread at its finest.
  12. So, Steve Kerr won Coach of the year? WTF?

    Walton lost fewer games lol
  13. First Round - Game 4 - Heat @ Hornets

But what you are seeing is not mediocre by any stretch of the imagination! If you're going to judge everything through the specter of the "good ole days" (which we tend to overrate because we only emphasize the good times or forget about the bad times,Hurney apologists on here prove that) then you're always going to be disappointed. What Charlotte had then was special, but it was a completely different time and place that can't come back. But what you have now is a franchise learning how to be successful in the leagueand a fanbase slowly starting to rebuild faith in pro basketball in this market. These two games have shown how far they've come and it's been a joy to watch.
  14. First Round - Game 4 - Heat @ Hornets

I understand that's your "job" to encourage more fans and don't get me wrong, you do the Lord's work, but it's not comparable between Hornets and Panthers. Hornets and NBA in generaldraw mostly within their metroregion which is why there's such a disparity between weeknights and weekends. A rowdy 90% on a weeknight is outstanding. The only chance a market like Charlotte could draw regular sellouts in this day and age would be to get a superstar talent that would transcend the typical Charlotte sports fan and start drawing in the bandwagon fans. You're also talking about a franchise that hadn't won a single playoff game in a decade in a half, has been a poster child for futility for much of its existence, and had just gotten smacked upside the head in its first two playoff games. I appreciate you striving for perfection, butthis is really so, so much better than the status quo.
  15. First Round - Game 4 - Heat @ Hornets

I saw a place that was packed and rocking. If folks didn't show up it was minimal at best.
