If he is Peja Stojakovic we finally nailed a draft. Just hope he can keep it going.

IMO unless there's a no-name guy that really breaks out during a game, the critiques should be only for guys that have a real chance to make the squad. That's Frank, PJ, Troy, Harrison, and maybe Craft (spent time at the beginning of last season with the Warriors and in the d-league.)
Nothing against the other guys, but they are just camp fodder, especially for a team with as many veterans as this final roster will have.

If we don't call for coaches to be fired and players to be cut and seasons to be over in the SL game threads, we're doing it wrong.

In still holding out hope that we are waiting for teams to lose out on free agents before quietly offering Al or Marvin in a trade.

So fans are more enthusiastic about a team that wins 65 games and a championship as opposed to a team that wins 33...

It's on NBA TV for free ya know. Not worth paying for, but I enjoy it.

Actually, it should be the opposite. The limit on salaries is what allows players to take pay cuts and join forces. If LeBron hit the open market and was allowed to get his real value to a franchise  (50-75 million a year) the playing field would level out as teams prioritized according to their budgets, similar to baseball.

As likely the second recipient in NBA history of a 200 million dollar deal (after LeBron) I'm sure the NBPA would be none too happy with him skipping unrestricted free agency.
He's one of if not the most underpaid athlete in sports right now.

And by that time the NBA probably lets us wear the Hardwood Classic unis and you can't say no to the pinstripes.

    That was Draymond Green.

Both of which are infinitely better options going forward than Al Jefferson.
Also all indications are we don't sell "You get to play with this guy!" We take a page out of the Panthers book and sell "establishing a good culture, chemistry, etc) and it has worked, even if the signings themselves haven't.

Had max offers from Portland, New York, Lakers and Bucks and chose the Bucks because he could win.
    Welcome to the new NBA.
Also, another big man off the market. Some team is going to get left out in the cold and we have Al Jefferson in this crowded, long-range-shooting front court and it doesn't make sense for us to pay him next year...

I don't think these moves are being made with the idea of Curry in mind as much as the idea of the team not being a laughing stock come the 2017 All-Star Game.
It's one thing to acquire players in a desperate attempt to keep an impending free agent on the team satisfied, but trying to acquire Warrior cast-offs to lure him away would be...well...not a good idea, to put it lightly.
With the cap jumping up, it looks like we would need to have around 30-40 million clear to take our shot, and if the books are any indication right now that is definitely doable as long as we spend responsibly (don't overpay MKG, Batum, DO NOT PAY AL.)
Even if it doesn't work out, IMO just getting a guy like Curry in for a visit would be a victory in and of itself and show that little ol' Charlotte can be a factor in the upper echelon of free agency. With his and his family's strong connection to the area and the organization, it would be irresponsible NOT to at least reach out and gauge interest.
