I've seen Styx countless times and walked out of a Def Lep concert in Charlotte years ago. Sorry, but Styx is the far better of the 2.

Umm, I thought you read what these guys write? But, okay, now I have to assume you don't, so here's a sample. I'm not thinking a white person could get away with saying this without being labeled a racist.
"You are the first freaking lady of the United States and you’re still a spoiled butt-hurt victim, whining about unfairness. You’re not interested in representing the United States, you’re not interested in representing ALL the people, your interest is in representing the black community and as the first lady you have represented us as bitter and spoiled."

You just gave away your true identity!
Harris Aballah is really Stevie Wonder... or, obviously just as blind as Stevie. What fugging game were you watching?
Okay, which hurt more, this loss to a better Wisconsin team or being beaten by Christian Laettner?

And how does Kentucky react to an exceptional season going 38-1?
    Let's start burning poo:
Let's use a racial slur from a black player toward a white player:
Let's walk off the court without shaking hands:
In the matter of just a few short minutes at the end of the game and afterwards, Kentucky goes from being a very respectable 38-win basketball team to just another bunch of poorly mannered, sore losers and anything that John Calipari might have done to transform these supposedly young men into adults is all down the shitter in the blink of an eye.

I'm not diminishing what UK and Calipari have done under the current system. Not in the least. I've made a lot of money on UK over the years and this year's team should be noted for more than just remaining undefeated. They're playing as a team and playing unselfishly. I give them all the credit in the world, but by no means would I ever consider them the best ever when, even as you admit, there are generational differences in the brand of NCAA basketball.
I will concede they are the best team since the previous generation's best team, which was Indiana during the first half of the Bob Knight era at IU until 1988.

The "best ever" college basketball team in NCAA history? Really? Not even close.
When UK gets to 12 NCAA Championship games and wins 11 of those 12, come see me.
When UK wins 7 consecutive NCAA Championships, come see me.
    10 consecutive Final Four appearances.
    88 game winning streak....
    4 undefeated seasons....
Or, even on an individual level; when UK gets a player the NCAA decides is so completely dominant and disruptive on the court they decide to ban the dunk for nearly 10 years (as they did with Alcindor in 1967). Not to mention the fact back then freshmen were not allowed to play on the "varsity" team, so he played 3 seasons... and lost only 1 game in those 3 seasons.

Ummmmm, no. I've been around long enough to know pure "trades" in the NFL are a rarity. For what it's worth, I've never suggested the team do anything with Cam Newton because, when it comes down to it, the decision of his future will be his and not the team's.

Really? Harvard takes you to the limit?
A bunch of pre-meds, lawyers and engineering students who probably take real classes lost to UNC by 2?

    UNC Settles Suit With Willingham
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The former North Carolina learning specialist who questioned the literacy level of Tar Heels athletes has reached a settlement to end her lawsuit against the school.
Mary Willingham and school spokesman Rick White confirmed the settlement Tuesday. It comes nearly eight months after she sued, saying she was demoted and the school retaliated against her after she raised concerns -- including low reading levels for athletes and the use of "paper classes" requiring no class attendance to keep athletes eligible -- before ultimately resigning.
I wanted to show other potential whistleblowers out there that it's possible to survive a fight with a big-money machine," Willingham said in a statement. "I thought it was time to get focused back on the issue of athletes and their educations -- to correct the injustice in the NCAA system. I'm satisfied with the result."
White said in a statement the settlement "resolves all of the outstanding legal issues in the case."
"We appreciate the efforts of the mediator to help us achieve a successful and timely conclusion to the mediation," White said. "We believe the settlement is in the best interest of (UNC) and allows us to move forward and fully focus on other important issues."
    J. Heydt Philbeck, Willingham's Raleigh-based attorney, didn't immediately return a call for comment Tuesday evening.
The settlement would end Willingham's case, though UNC faces fallout from the long-running academic fraud scandal -- including two separate lawsuits from athletes, accreditation questions and a reopened NCAA investigation into academic misconduct.

Yes. I served from 1973-1993. Spent all but 4 years at sea on a wide variety of ships, with only one desk job during my career.
I'm a registered Democrat and don't consider myself a liberal. I have voted across party lines. Not all Republicans are Tea Partiers, right?
