  2. Is OL the pick?

yeah he mentioned ryan kelly, who bill voth wrote about. could push norwell at LG and replace kalil in a few years if he wants too much money for 2018. also joshua garnett... who i haven't seen many people mock in the first compared to whitehair. guess he's underrated by armchair fans. garnett might be the only one still on the board when 30 comes up tho... definitely getting the feeling that the pick is OLine, DLine, or hunter henry.
  3. i think he will be serviceable. sure, he had 1 sack in the regular season, which is fuging horrible. but he picked up a sack in every playoff game. he came through in the end and that's probably what convinced g-man to bring him back. i'm guessing a floor of 6 sacks, especially if we pick up a capable DE in the first or second who will keep him fresh.
  4. 2016 Panthers Schedule - Thoughts and Musings

i... don't think i ever said we're not in good shape or that we are worse than them. i said to not underestimate rivals on the road. and i don't know what basis you have to say we'd win if stew were playing in ATL. furthermore, players are just as likely to get hurt early in the season as they are later in the year. i mean drew brees got hurt in the first month which allowed us to face luke mccown, who almost beat us... in charlotte... imagine what would have happened if they had brees. who, btw, people continuously say is "done" and yet he still plays well every year. basically you are reinforcing my original point of people underestimating the saints and falcons on the road.
  5. 2016 Panthers Schedule - Thoughts and Musings

you appear to be seriously understimating our divisional rivals on the road. i mean... this year we lost to atlanta. and were losing to new orleans with 45 seconds left in the game. the toughest stretch of the season is by far the first 6 weeks with three division games (two on the road against the better teams), denver, and minnesota. think 10-6 is the floor but i'm probably predicting 12-4.
  6. i mean, g-man said the pick last year was between shaq and dj humphries... i don't think he is making a conscious decision to go back and forth. a neat tidbit but not a philosophy or basis for a prediction imo. i think g-man goes best value available (no one actually picks BPA). which he did with shaq, who wasn't a need...

    re-reading this thread is lol
  8. Cj says something brewing

thank god i don't waste my energy hating on some dude that the team cut. CJ was a monster for four seasons and even this year he picked up a sack in every playoff game despite playing like doodie in the regular season. wish him nothing but the best. unless he becomes a buc. but even then i won't dislike the guy. just hope he doesn't do well against us. will enjoy seeing him continue to sack ratt myan at the very least.
  9. D-Will vs Pete Prisco

i always approve of any pete prisco trolling
  10. Carolina Panthers Top 3 Offseason Priorities

Corners: Tillman is probably retiring. Same with Finnegan. I doubt Norman stays past 2016. Benwikere appears to be good. McClain I don't think provides much potential. Need to find some corners to bring in. Gettleman hasn't appeared to have had any issues with rebuilding the secondary each year so not a huge worry imo. Wouldn't mind drafting someone though... OTs: We need at least new one OT. I figure that will wind up being Williams replacing Remmers. But would be nice to find a franchise LT and then Oher is pushed to RT to compete with Williams. DLine: Dwan Edwards is aging. Jared Allen is done. Alexander is done. We might not even be able to afford both KK and Star. CJ is getting expensive and coming off his least effective season. Addison is situational and I dunno about Love being a starter. Need to go after DLmen. Thankfully this draft class is hella deep and the FA pool is solid as well.
  11. Let's talk about Ted Ginn Jr.

I would prefer a speedster who can actually catch consistently. Sterling Shepherd or Bralon Addison would be cool in the 2nd round. Ginn is obviously serviceable though given his 10 TDs and like 8 catches over 30 yards which... almost negates his constant dropping. However, I think he's a mediocre punt returner and it'd be nice to find someone else to go there (both draft picks I mentioned could do it). He runs to the side too often and almost never makes anyone miss. I don't know why we don't stick him on kick returns where you basically just pick a lane and run at it as fast as you can. He can't possibly be worse than Fozzy or Webb.
  12. 2016 Top NFL free agents - running backs

Forte is actually intriguing as a receiving option but I wouldn't see the point in having him get many carries when we have Stew on the roster. Lamar Miller is obviously a good player but someone is gonna pay him and we aren't going to pay anyone except our own guys.
  13. There were maybe 10 Panther fans in my section (132). Thankfully four of them were me, my dad, and two dudes who just so happened to sit next to us. We were heavily outnumbered. I would say it was at least 80% Denver fans. To make matters worse, CJ Anderson's entire family was sitting in the row in front of us. That made it even worse when he scored the dagger. Anyway, when the offense was on the field it was fuging deafening. I was at the Giants game this year and when the Giants came back to tie on the OBJ TD, it was still nowhere near as loud as the average offensive drive for Carolina in SB50. It was louder than the Metallica show I saw the night before at AT&T even. And then when Peyton was on the field it was pretty much dead silent. I lost my voice from screaming so much when they were out there though in addition to nonstop clapping. Just trying to do my part, you know... Throughout the game they showed "Make Some Noise!" on the big screen. By the 4th quarter they were showing it with the Bronco logo attached. Didn't do it once with the Panther logo. Have fun applying that to your conspiracy theories! And I heard the stampede/horse whinny a handful of times. Though I also heard the growl a handful of times. Most of the Panther fans were in endzone seats trying to get a ball or over near the Panthers tunnel. There was Keep Pounding chant at some point in the late 1st or early 2nd coming from over there that we joined in on. Was unable to get anything started on my side, because seriously it was nothing but Denver fans in my area. If I had been over in the sea of blue I would have tried by damndest to get the Keep Pounding chant going every time Peyton was out there. Oh well.
  14. Future Hall of Famers on This 2015 Tteam?

Jared Allen is pretty close to being one. Charles Tillman as well. Cam and Luke appear to be on their way to doing it. Too early to say on others. I doubt Kalil, Olsen, or TD gets in.
  15. my dad and i are going. we also went to super bowl 38. pretty stoked.
