  1. Are we witnessing a Hiliray collapse?

Well, my knowledge is based on how the military does it, and the civilian community handles things different. Generally speaking clearances are based on judgement of the granting authority. The investigation that is conducted irt clearances gives the information to the granting authority and they make a determination. So in essence, it would depend on how much the granting authority liked her, or if they are being objective, whether they feel the behavior is likely toT be repeated. Fwiw, i saw some people keep their clearance after some pretty boneheaded mistakes. One kid got in a hurry, didn't secure documents that were being moved to a burn facility and we ended up with classified material blowing all over the dock. That being said, in both military and civilian world higher ups get more leeway that those lower on the totem poll. If she was a general, she would likely keep her clearance. A lower rank enlisted would probably get 30 days of restricted duty and then might or might not get to keep the clearance.
  2. -Game of Thrones-HBO-

Yeah, not the best. There was one interesting thing though. Danni was told it would take a 1000 ships to get to Westeros. Last week, Euron said something about building a thousand ships. So will Dani marry him, or spurn him and just take his ships?
  3. The last ticket I got, I called a Lawyer, and he told me he could handle the case for me, but if I just went in myself and since it was my first ticket in a long time they would probably just have me pay the fine and court cost with no impact on my license, which wouldn't be any more than he could do for me. He saved me 300 bucks,. and cost himself the same amount. He was either really nice or really busy.

Lets throw in Cruz and Bernie. On the next episode of survivor. :)
  6. USA Today ranks the NFL head coaches

If memory serves, they went younger on a couple of spots in the defense, and made 1 or 2 key offensive line changes. Might not sound like much, but little things like that can be the difference between winning and losing.

Actually, I am not. I am simply ignoring the part about oversight and cut it out because it is an opinion, not a fact. And not something we were even discussing until you brought it up. The key issue in this is the handling of classified information. That is what the FBI is investigating. In that regard, a private email account (think Gmail) is as bad or perhaps even worse than a private email server. At least she and her staff had control of the private server, not an admin at Google or Yahoo.

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2016/03/07/state-dept-concludes-past-secretaries-of-state/209044 Powell used his private email account and Rice's staff used a personal email account to send classified information. Certainly Hillary's transgressions are worse, but the others would be under the microscope as well. It appears to me that the State Department had a significant issue with its top people misusing email and classfied information, and the issue was getting progressively worse. Having dealt with a variety of similar issues where I work, my guess is they did this more for convenience than anything else. You would be surprised how many senior executives would use private email accounts to send corporate confidential information simply because they don't want to take the time to break out their company provided laptop, and connect to the corporate email servers.
  9. Trump vs Sanders

Since he has 0 experience in political leadership, all we have to go on are the things he says. I don't really care about the mean things, its the stupid ones that are worrisome. Some of the things he has suggested are borderline moronic. Going to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it. Laughable Going to ban all muslims from coming into the US. No chance at all the Supreme Court upholds that. Regarding ISIS, I would bomb the poo out of them. Maybe a serious candidate for president should show at least a little bit of nuance. Not ruling out using Nuclear weapons against/in Europe. Europe where most of our strongest allies reside. Imagine how that ignorant statement plays out in London or Paris. The presidency or the campaign for the presidency is not a beer joint on Saturday night after downing a few with the boys. What a guy like Trump says is heard round the world. This is not the 1820's where Andrew Jackson can challenge people to a duel or where the US is some backwater country with little relevance on the world stage. He will be the leader of the key nation in the western world. If he can't show at least a modicum of forethought and thoughtfulness, then why on earth should he be considered for president?
  10. VP Bets

I agree that Kasich probably wouldn't take it. He probably feels that Trump will lose, and staying in the race longer got him some name recognition for a possible 2020 run. Being associated with Trump if Trump loses will not help. If Hillary reaches out to a Hispanic, I think it would be someone with more national recognition. Thomas Perez is a name I have heard recently, although I don't know much about him.
  11. The Geneva Convention's prohibitions against specifically targeting civilians was irt Artillery. There was nothing against the aerial bombing of Civilians. That was added after the war. One could argue that bombing civilians was violated the spirit of the law, if not the letter. But even that would be a stretch given that Hiroshima was actually selected in part due to its military significance, and Kyoto was removed from the target list because of its historical and religious significance to the Japanese. And fwiw, you could easily make an argument that since Japanese plans for the invasion defense included using civilians, there would be no targets that were not of military value. How Japan got ready for invasion

Another thing to point out regarding the email issue. If you read more detailed findings of the State Departments report, and if one insist of charging Clinton, then we would also have to charge some of her predecessors. The State report indicates that all the Secretaries were violating policy. Clinton got the worst criticism (and deservedly so), because State's policies during her tenure were more specific, and hers was a more clear violation. But in terms of the law and prosecution, she is no more or less guilty than some of the others. So if she were convicted, Colin Powell and some of the others might be joining her.
  13. Trump vs Sanders

You are preaching at the choir. Imo, Trump is the worst candidate to be nominated in the last 150 years or so by either party.
  14. Are we witnessing a Hiliray collapse?

Prove it. Bring up the law that she supposedly broke, and then bring up someone that was convicted for it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/technology/clinton-email-probe-winding-down-as-gop-tries-to-up-pressure/2016/05/23/cba79b88-20f1-11e6-b944-52f7b1793dae_story.html
  15. Trump vs Sanders

got to admit Trump is good at the one liners. Said he doesn't debate losers. But that is probably not the best way to attract Bernie supporters to his campaign.
