  1. Madden 17 Carolina Panthers Ratings

    Norwell a 97 lmaooo
  2. Gettleman eating

"Y'all hear that new Drake yet? That poo goes hawwwwd"
  3. Gettleman says BPA philosophy changed this year.

I really cant get behind letting go an All Pro that we basically owned for at least another year and reaching on 2 guys to replace him when 2/3 cornerback spots were already solidified. That being said, these guys could be Brandon Hogan or they could be Richard Sherman. No point in bitching until they get on the field
  4. Falcons Fans: Carolina Gets It

My favorite post on that thread was the one saying we dont have a running game....
  5. I agree with all of this. We're a team that plays a physical style thats built to wear teams down. You talk about DLine's rotating more than any position, OLines probably rotate the least of any position. We can now throw tons of fresh guys at the OLine with no relief and overwhelm them. Once an offensive line gets worn down, the entire offense crumbles. I like the strategy
  6. Skip (the master troll) Bayless is leaving ESPN in August

Agreed. PTI and sometimes Around the Horn and Highly Questionable are the only decent shows. NFL Live is a bunch of has-beens bitterly criticizing players who were better than they ever were. I admit though I was glued to First Take the day after we smacked the Cowbitches on Thanksgiving just so I could watch the shitshow Skip was gonna put on
  7. Totally agree, my point was that for every Ted Ginn there's been a Tiquan Underwood and for every Mike Mitchell/Kurt Coleman there's been a Thomas Decoud. He's done a great job, but to say that he hasnt made any mistakes would be foolish
  8. First mistakes? He's done some great things while he's been here, and he's also done some completely moronic things. That 3-8-1 start to 2014 was directly his fault. Gettleman thought Byron Bell and Nate Chandler was an acceptable tackle tandem, Gettleman signed Decoud and Cason, Gettleman cut Steve Smith and forced us to rely heavily on an unpolished rookie. The Hardy situation played a big part too, but other than drafting KB and Turner, Gettleman's 2014 offseason was an absolute blunder. I love that Gettleman has gotten us out of a terrible cap situation and drafted well and built a good mix of talented youth and savvy veterans, but the idea that people on here think he's the primary reason that we made a Super Bowl this year is laughable. You look at our 8 best players from last year, which in my opinion would be Cam, Stew, Olsen, Kalil, Short, Luke, TD and Norman, all of them but Short were already here before Gettleman. We also already had a coach that's put together dominant defenses everywhere he's been with different systems and different levels of talent in different positions. Combine that with the most dangerous dual-threat QB to ever play the game and it's not hard to see why we've been good for the last 3 years. Again, I love the guy and we're lucky to have him, but it blows my mind how people really think every move he's made has been a homerun and overvalue how much he's really been responsible for our success
  9. Cameron Artis-Payne Arrested for Speeding

CAP isnt good enough to be doing that. If it was Cam the officer wouldve asked for a selfie with him and told him to slow down next time
  10. I still know a couple people...what happened with josh

Except we did fug up. 24 hours ago we had the most talented and complete roster in the league with a pro bowler at every position. Now we have a pretty glaring weakness and no longer have Hardy or a prime CJ to hide it. Whether we want to believe it or not, we had all the leverage. Josh could threaten to hold out but deep inside he knows he can't sit out a whole year and expect to get a good contract as a 30 year old cornerback who hadnt played a game in over a year.
  11. And most of those were on blitzes. Im talking about strictly front 4 pressure, and other than Short no one was really a dominant rusher. When you can rush with just 4 guys its alot easier on the secondary
  12. Numbers disagree. But theres a list of about 5 that you can argue are the best. Josh is in that group
  13. I know he's overreacting, but im shocked that so many of you are just shrugging this off and assuming Gettleman is making the right move just because he's made good moves in the past. Let me remind you what just happend: WE JUST LET THE BEST CORNER IN THE GAME WALK AND GOT NOTHING IN RETURN. Our pass rush is garbage and our secondary outside of Norman was nothing special to begin with. In case your memory is a little clouded, go pop in some tapes of Weeks 3 through 10 of the 2014 season before Josh got the start and see what a doormat this defense was. These shutdown corners dont grow on trees, and maybe im wrong, but the first step of making it back to a super bowl should be keeping the guys that got you there I know a lot of posters on here get a raging hard on from watching our GM refuse to fold and stand firm on prices, but at the end of the day would you rather fork over a couple extra million more than you would prefer to ensure you keep one of your best players, or do you want to stand firm and lose him? Sorry but Im not gonna automatically give GMan the benefit of the doubt just because of his history. He's just as much to blame for this as Josh is.
  14. Josh's response to the AP

No way in hell after seeing him bawl his eyes out after the Super Bowl that I thought he'd be leaving. Business is business though
  15. Panthers rescind Norman's franchise tag...

Sorry but this is astronomically stupid. When You have a team that is built to win a Super Bowl TODAYyou don't go telling a game-changing,Top 5 shutdown cornerto kick rocks. Gettleman can be the alpha dog all he wants, but you can't let your pride get in the way when dealing with a player you can't afford to lose. For anyone saying no one player is more important than the team, go watch some games of Antoine Cason and remind yourself what our defense looked like before Norman was the starter
