I view much of this like the WaterGate scandal. The act itself was not such a big deal. It was the cover-up that was insanely criminal. Nanuq is correct about justice not being blind. That said, if Bernie Madoff can get the clink, I would think fully half of DC would qualify under those extreme standards. This defense of HC with quips like "Well everyone else was doing it!" is juvenile at best. If a Republican did this and was being hung an effigy it would be just. As it is, everyone is all about protecting their respective blue and red lines. Try expecting better of your representatives for once. As an aside: in my opinion, it is the Obama administration that actually wanted the data on that server. I think Valarie Jarret would have a field day with all kinds of damning information that has nothing to do with Benghazi. With that information in hand, Obama could force Hillary out of the race while getting her to endorse Joe Biden. Politically, it is amusing to see Chicago vs DC politics on full display as it is no secret that the Obamas and Clintons don't like each other.
Does it not bother anyone that if Hillary had any other last name that she'd have been in prison by now? People wonder how ruling classes get away with living a life that the rest of us wouldn't be able to attempt.... this is exactly it
It will actually be the next generation that is paying for it (provided hyperinflation hasn't kicked in before that time). We have yet to actually pay for a lot of stuff, so I guess the appropriate analogy would be running up someone else's credit card bill in the name of charity. BTW - Great job on not actually addressing the ethical issue at hand. Do we really have to go down the road of "two wrongs don't make a right?" or did you graduate kindergarten?
