The Great Gaffney Conspiracy Theory
Posted 30 July 2014 - 10:20 AM
“I think I’ve been OK. I haven’t been consistent. I started off slow the first couple of days of camp and had a few drops, but I picked it up from then. So as of now I think I’m getting better, but it’s still early in camp and I have to learn how to be consistent and put good days together back to back.”
the sound of a rookie.. but not the one you think.

Even if it were true, I bet that we still win out on that deal. To be honest, if we had to sacrifice Gaffney in order to rid ourselves of LaFell (and I had the choice), like Captian Picard, I would have said. "Make it so!"

If he even gets to play
I can't wait to see Tom Brady throwing a hissy fit and screaming at LaFail on the sidelines next year after a crucial 3rd download drop. It's the Patriot Way.

While the theory is just for fun, as with most good humor it's rooted in truth.
The Patriots did indeed overpay for LaFell and may now be realizing it.

Wasn't Donald a free agent signing? It's not like Carolina worked a trade for him, so why would Patsy want to get back at the Panthers when it was them who offered the contract? DG didn't write the contract up and present to Donald himself or anything...
