Noboys seems to really care. Almost as if they want it to happen.
That would be a disaster if it to happen. I don't know why China is doing this, it makes no sense... Maybe they have no faith in our government ability to pay back the money?

The reason there are talks of dethroning the dollar is because of its ongoing weakness. In fact you could argue that the only thing that has kept it afloat over the past decade is its status as world reserve currency.

A weaker dollar isn't necessarily a bad thing

The smart guys are buying Yens and Francs.
In your 401k. Make sure you are at least 10-25% FOREIGN right now. Spread it around.
I just wish the US would sell a few tons of gold right now to shock the system. For giggles.

A weaker dollar does have some advantages. It makes american exports cheaper, and imports more expensive. It makes it more expensive for companies to outsource jobs and cheaper to keep them in the US.

Why don't we just print a bunch of counterfeit Chinese and Russian money? That'll learn em.
Demand and Supply bud... no body would want those 2 worthless currencies... especially russian, their money can be used as toilet paper.
