I have to say, any mock draft that has us picking up a TE in the 3rd, I question.
I agree there are bigger concerns, just thought the site was neat..

Id be happy with Arthur Jones if he fell. And maybe Rob Gronkowski if they go TE.
As an Arizona alum I would be doing back flips if we drafted Gronk and I'd be ordering his jersey within seconds of the pick being made. It took 2-3 guys to bring him down anytime he touched the ball, one guy just literally could not bring him down. There were times that he had multiple defenders literally hanging on to him with their feet off the ground and he just took them for a ride 5-10 yards down the field.
Having said all that he'll be going to a team that uses their TE more as a receiver than a blocker, he'll never get drafted by the Panthers unfortunately. He has Gonzalez, Gates, Witten type potential as a TE in the NFL, had he not been hurt this year he'd be looked at as a top 15 pick guaranteed, he's that special.

If this is the case, why did we draft a guy like Gary Barnidge? He's no great blocker.

He's also not the receiver that Gronk is, and Gronk is a good blocker as well, very well rounded. Now even though Fox hasn't used the TE as a receiver much in the past, if we got a guy like Gronk that would change immediately. He would open up the field for Smitty right away as they'd always have to have safety help on him or he'll destroy any LB who tries to cover him one on one.
Trust me, if he's still on the board when the Panthers first pick is coming around, there won't be a person in the world who's hoping we pick him up more than me, I just don't see it happening. Fox has one year left to do something, I don't think he'll take a player who he'd have to create a whole new set of plays for when we could use that high pick on another player who fits his schemes.

How many DL do we need to draft before this organization picks one they like to stick in the starting rotation? We have taken 5 DL in the last 3 drafts...get their asses on the field and stop wasting picks.
We better bring in AT LEAST one WR if not 2 that can compete for the starting #2 job.
