Every year since Jake took the reins and we had players like Peppers and Hoover I felt that this team had a legit opportunity to finally winning it all and that they were on the cusp of being elite. Now with the absence of veteran leadership and the players that made this team reach two NFC Championship games in 6 years, has our window/run closed and if so do the Panthers rank as a disappointing team of this decade since they were primed to win at least one Superbowl under the Delhomme era.

This. Plus that fine young male-ass Falcons team then doesnt have the talent of our team this year.

The window is clearly closed, but it can always be kicked open. Wait, we're talking about home furnishings right?

I just wish Moore had a chance with the team of last year and the team the team that went up against the Cards in the playoffs.

He is inheriting a better team IMO

Jake cost us a legit shot a 2 SB appearances imo. Now Moore will have to make due with a less talented team. Even so, I'm thrilled that Jake is no longer on the roster.

I know you are using Hoover as a simple example of the various veterans that are gone, but he's a bad example. FB's may be important, but they are no #1 RB, #1 WR, QB or dominant defensive player.
