Broken Campaign Promises

22 posts in this topic

Anyone who votes for anybody based on specific campaign promises is fooling themselves of course. You vote for someone because you agree with more of their basic positions and thoughts on the important matters of the day than anyone else.

So campaiging is for what again?

This is the problem we have with political identity.

This is the insanity of the system we have. Tons voted for her based on straight ticket. Some because she was a woman and others because she was a Dem.

Those aren't the ones shocked by what she isn't going to do now. They didn't even know what she stood for in the first place.

My own Mosquito Coast looks more and more real now...

Sadly, that's what the people in control want you to think.

Think about this: do business have more or less free reign than they did 15 years ago?

If so, who gave them this power?

If not, why did they wait until now to be so "greedy"?

I can't speak for other big businesses, but for banks the amount of regulation has remained about the same. The change has been in where the banks are regulated. Less regulation irt what banking, and merging with other companies, and investments, but more regulation into how accounts are handled and customer privacy.

It has been years in the making, the dam finally broke.
