Ha true and so do the Steelers in later rounds, but man, who the hell decided to give Delhomme the 20million when that could of gone to Peppers or better used elsewhere like DeAngelo Williams extension ect.

That draft was an absolute abortion of FAIL for our team. Look at more of the talent that went off the board after the 3rd round that we missed on.

65 San Francisco 49ers Frank Gore Running Back Miami
66 St. Louis Rams OJ Atogwe Safety Stanford
74 New York Giants Justin Tuck Defensive End Notre Dame
109 Dallas Cowboys Marion Barber Running Back Minnesota
130 San Diego Chragers Darren Sproles Running Back Kansas State
146 Philadelphia Eagles Trent Cole Defensive End Cincinnati
224 Dallas Cowboys Jay Ratliff Defensive Tackle Auburn

Good god, this is a playoff team

This is a good thread, it's quite interesting and sad at the same time to see who your team passed over to draft someone else. I don't have to say much because it's a rarity Ozzie Newsome misses come Draft day but he certainly has his screw ups.

1997- Round 3 64: Jay Graham RB OVER CB Ronde Barber(Ronde was chosen 2 spots later)

2002- Round 2 52: Anthony Weaver DE OVER Antonio Bryant, Antwaan Randel El, Deion Branch

2005- Round 1 22: WR Mark Clayton OVER WR Roddy White

But the big one as everybody knows is giving up the possibility to draft Vince Wilfork by giving NE our 1st round pick in 2004 to select, Kyle fricken Boller!!!

We could have had Steve Smith (NYG) instead of DJ.

In 2006 we could have had Marques Colston...rd.7 so take your pick on that one...

If only it was this simple! haha Certain guys just fit better in certain systems and that's often why they succeed some places and might not succeed others. This especially holds true with picks late into the draft.

I never regretted picking up Deshaun Foster or Biakabatuka. They were great guys with lots of talent but injuries stole their career. I wouldn't blame them for not panning out.

Foster's failure was also in part to their trying to make him into a power back when he really wasn't.
