Great arguement? Not even close there Guido.

It is apparent that you have a MAJOR hard-on for Peppers. Please feel free to take your services north to the Bears Message Boards. I am sure they will welcome you into their Peppers Circle Jerk Fest going on there for the next few months.

so if you say how great of a leader sam mills does that mean you have a major hard on for him. am i not allowed to like jake delhomme anymore because he is on the browns, should i take my circle jerk there was well? so are you telling me i am not allowed to like one other player in the nfl not on the carolina panthers, does that make me a bad fan?

once again proven great argument by me, you didnt take anything I said about some of the highest paid players in the league not being leaders and proved your point wrong. instead of arguing it like an intelligent human being you used big words like MAJOR hard-on and circle jerk.

good talk man see ya out there.

NFL.com story on training camps...

i think those expecting pep to have a 3-4 sack season are sadly mistaken. i wouldn't be surprised to see him have a career year.

Can you name names on those who said he would have a 3-4 sack season?

Pep has definitely been practicing with a lot of energy. I think he's having fun playing football again.

Bears should have the #1 defense this year.

Not a chance. Tommie Harris has not been the same since the injury. Urlacher and Brigss will still be good, but again, not the same as in the past. Their back four are pretty weak.

I see them being middle of the pack.

Tommie Harris is in the best health that he's been in for the last 3 seasons. That's a fact. How that translates on the field is yet to be seen. I can't remember the last time he actually participated in the majority of Training Camp, which he has this year. I'm not drinking his kool aid, trust me, I'll buy in when I see him do it in a game. A bum knee is bad news for dudes his size.

Do not be swayed by the folks on this board that swear that Pep took lots of plays off, and could have been the best DE ever.

He is a fantastic football player, a player that never has to come off of the field, in any situation. He is a rare find.

Is he the best ever? Nope, but thats some pretty rare air.

He has been the best all around DE that has come into the league in a very long time...Allen is probably getting close to him, but still does not play the run as well as Pep. IMO.

Congrats to your team on a very nice pick up, I wish that we still had him suiting up for the Panthers, and for him to be happy to do so.

I have heard the positive reports on Harris. I was referring to his performance the past few years. Since the injury, he seemed to have lost quickness and explosiveness....the two traits that made him an absolute beast in the middle. He very well may return to that form, but that severe of a knee injury is difficult to overcome.

As for Peppers, he is an absolute athletic freak. He had the physical ability to be THE BEST DE to play the game. However, you just don't see the effort and performance on a consisten basis. I went back and looked at his stats for the past few seasons. What I learned was that he padded his sack stats agaisnt bad teams. He was not a consistent performer. That is the only knock I have on him.

Training camp means nothing.

Preseason games mean nothing.

You just hope to escape both with no major injuries.

The Bears season hinges on the Oline. If they play better than expected, the Bears could stick around and perhaps finish above 500. If not, the season could be long and painful. Too much attention is being paid to the Vikes in the North. The focus shoould be on the dreaded Packers, as they are likely to be a force in the playoffs, which sucks giant donkeyballs.
