I'm not certain they can actually get a trademark on this, and I wouldn't be surprised to see other people who were involved in making DOTA what it is attempt litigation against it.

It makes little sense. It wasn't even created with the Source SDK was it?

No it was made with the WC3 editor and based on a mod made with the original SC editor.

I have 6 invites to Dota 2 if anyone wants one.

Im about to be level 30 on LOL i'd love to try out DOTA 2 .. I had intended to play both .. are you able to play it right now?

Yeah you can play Dota 2 currently it's just still in beta and not available for public download. If you wanna pm me your steam account name or e-mail tied to it I can send Dota 2 invite as a gift.
