Why dont we trade either a RB or QB for a vet proven WR? We're rich at both positions and have little else of value in excess of except draft picks. If we picked up a viable wr and got rid of a 3rd or 4th string RB and/or qb we could write our ticket to the NFC championship.
How are we rich at the QB position? We have our top 2 (no way you trade them)...next is Cantwell (a perennial practice squad player) and Pike (noodle arm, 6th rd draft pick, who can't even find the field this preseason).
Who would give a decent WR for either of those?

Cincy would love Pike
Cincy knows that they can get Pike once we cut him for the PS.

Bingo MadHatter, like you stated,we have very little to offer in a trade for a compentent WR,plus there is very little (if any)out there that other teams would be willing to part ways with.

Goodson is the only player we might be willing to part with that would give us a good return.
Thats true, but good enough to get even a decent wr? RB's are not valued that high in this league, especially one with no real work done.
