Clemens didn't willingly end his career, he was forced out just like Bonds KT. Both of them tried to fight to clear their name and it backfired because neither one is 100% innocent. Most sports fans are rather forgiving....as long as you accept responsibility and say you are sorry......no matter what color you are.

exactly, Pettite and Giambi have been ,if not accepted back by the fans, at least not vilified. Clemens., Palmiero, Bonds and to a lesser extent McGwire, Have drawn a good portion of the fans hatred for continuing to lie when the evidence is overwhelming. If Rose had been man enough to stand up and tell the truth when he was first investigated he might have a chance at getting in the HOF before he dies.

And for the record, I hope Rose is never let in, or at least not before Shoeless Joe

Barry Bonds made baseball a joke! I really wish I could respect his record but I can't!

I mean we are talking about a sport that still uses a wooden bat to keep the records true and then you have this mess.

I really wish baseball could get back to the status it once was because it is a great sport and America's legacy of sports!!!!

and KT I am not picking a fight with you because I believe you take this to heart about Barry, but that is just how I feel, no disrespect!

If modern day pro players used metal/ceramic bats, there'd be a huge list of dead pitchers, 3rd basemen, and 1st basemen.

metal bats are just awful. The crack of wood against the baseball is music made in the heavens and recreated on earth

Pitchers and catchers report in 1 day 19 hrs 44 minutes.

And there will be joy across the land for baseball is returning

The second the Feds go after him, you let me know and Ill carry the flag for him too. Dont hold your breath though, thats usually reserved for black superstar athletes. I think A-Rod'll be good in that regard.

How about Miguel Tejada?

At least he had the gumption to admit to his sins... something BB has yet to do and probably never will do.

For the record, I'm sick of all of the steroid-era players and wish MLB would throw out all of their artificially-inflated stats/records, A-Fraud included

:boxing_smiley:

On this, we agree.

I think at the very least, every player who's been implicated ouught to have an asterisk next to their records; Bonds, A-Rod, Clemens, and everyone else included.
