True Inauguration Story

I guess MLK was shot in Jersey, Rosa Parks couldnt get on a bus in Los Angeles, and a church with children inside was fire bombed in Seattle just because they were black.

Guess that proves it ... no racists in Jersey, LA or Seattle ...

Some of the most racist folks I know are from up north. A jewish temple was fire bombed in Chicago, and in 2004 there were 111 racially motivated crimes in NY state.

i've been to boston and alabama probably 50 times each over my lifetime because i have relatives in both places. i heard more N words in gardendale (just south of birmingham) in the 2 weeks i was there this christmas than i ever have in boston (that number being 0). or in the past 18 years i've lived in VA for that matter.

So racism for you boils down to the n-word.

Very different brands of racism in the two places. But it is stronger by far in the north mostly because there was never an integration push in northern areas like there was in the south.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a breakdown of the race vs race. And why would you assume only a small % would be white on black?

Let me explain the difference between the North and the South -

The South hates the race but embraces the individual while the North embraces the race but hates the individual.

    • I was a Marine Brat at Camp Lejeune NC and graduated from CLHS in 1978 and on 28 June 1978 I joined the Navy.  I retired On June 30th 2003 after 25 yrs of Naval Service and have been serving overseas to support our troops ever since. I was in Tikrit when they captured Saddam.  Soldiers from our base were the ones who actually found him.  I have been in places in Iraq called Mosul, Al Asad, and Al Kut,  I have been in Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.  The living hell hole called FOB Shank were incoming was a daily encounter. You see young soldiers who don't even shave yet.  Some look like they lied to get in.  Men and women from every walk of life.  Putting that uniform on.  So needless to say, I am very attached and proud of every one of them.  Whether they know me or not.  Tears fill my eyes every time we lose one. (Just lost one last week). This video, I saw when it was originally aired, still make me water up.   I challenge anybody to show me a more military dedicated team, in ANY LEAGUE, ANY SPORT, that supports the troops like the Carolina Panthers.  I'll give my hated Yankees a close 2nd. ($10,00 ticket with a military ID) **at old Yankee Stadium. Carolina is a class act, plain and simple. Thanks for posting this again,
