I agree, Fox is only playing cards with the hand he was dealt.

If there's one thing you can't do here, it's give John Fox props.

They "play hard" because they're professional athletes. Show me a team where they don't "play hard" enough. Go on, point one out.

There was one on Monday night football tonight

John Fox......
OK, so you have a Head Coach who's team is 1-10 and they still play hard for him.

I want a Head Coach who coaches his team to 10-1 and they still play hard for them.

They sure did put up a whole hell of a lot of points playing easy.

17 points and 7 points are not putting up a whole hell of a lot of points.

The team quit on him after that loss to NY.

The players love him, which is part of the problem now..Complacency has set in..they may say they are playing hard, but reality is their is no accountability and this season was shot before it even started. I didn't want to believe it at the time, but their was pretty much no chance of success the way this team was built this year with a coach that had gone stale.

Really? By Fox standards in coaching, that IS playing hard.

They played hard and lost. I commend Ken Whisenhunt for having his team coming out and playing hard for him. They only lost by 21 points. It could have been much worse from what I seen.

Quite a few Bengals go soft.

That said, I want wins. Not some cheesy ass story about how we suck and are still playing hard for ole Foxy.

Fox is a joke and so is this thread. The only reason he still here is because there aint nobody on the current pay roll JR wants to hold Fox's job. Like I've said before Phillips and Childress had their respected teams in the playoffs last year, we had a 8-8 record.

I have no doubt that this team IS playing hard for John Fox. All you have to do is listen to what the players say about him. And personally, I don't believe Fox has thrown in the towel, either.

What I DO believe is this... he has finally reached his limit here with the fans, the local media, and the FO. His style of coaching just isn't going to fly here anymore, especially with being as young as we are at QB, and other key positions.

It takes time to develop rookies, and he just doesn't have that luxury any longer.

Meh.

We have this conversation every other year, when we are 4-8 and stuggling to get to 7-9
