So if we were waiting on getting a coach from the Green Bay staff or Pittsburgh staff...two more weeks!

They can interview this week since they're off.

And of course, Jets and Bears coaches are available now.

We don't run a zone blocking scheme. We tried it one year, failed and scrapped it. We have/had some plays, but we man blocked.

We have continued to run it often, actually. Was never all one or the other.

All that info, digging, research, and all I get is a correction.

The guy played for 20 years in the League. Actaully, I remember him somewhat. Being in the NFL that long and effective up until retirement says a lot about what he knows. I think he was a guard, which is our weak link on the OL, namely RG.

The Panthers just hired and asst. OL coach, Ray Brown.

http://blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2011/01/panthers-hire-another-vet.html

This is a solid hire IMO consider our newly hired OL coach is approaching retirement age. We can only hope all of Ray's playing experience will help Otah reach his potential and light a fire under Robinson's rear end. Robinson got a world of potential but his underacheiving and poor work ethic has been frustrating. I hope sitting out a year will help put Otah's injuries behind him.

Posted elsewhere: I find it interesting that we're getting more assistant position coaches this year than were used before.
