I thought he did pretty damned good considering the situation. At least he got them 14 points, which is more than anybody can say for Cutler, who most of y'all wanted before the Bears traded for him.

So do we really want Mr. Hanie as a QB. Isn't Arnold Ziffle available? :)

Pretty funny the Bears didn't have Hanie as 2nd string QB considering Todd Collins basically seems like his intention is to actually try and throw picks.

I wondered how long it would take some moron to suggest we get a 3rd stringer from another team

he had 150 yards and 2 TD's, but the first one wasn't challenged (it was a TD on the replay). 2nd INT came from a forced ball.

Again a kid that didn't have any reps, and thrown into the most pressuring situation in his life and he showed poise and decision making. Yes, he forced it on 4th down for an INT but he had no other choice... at least he didn't throw it away -_-;

Hanie played well under pressure, and though he made costly mistakes, he is a rookie and he was forced into a situation where he HAD to force the ball.

He may garner some offers, but I would be surprised if the Bears let him walk. They need a quarterback as a backup if nothing else, and Collins is clearly done.

Hanie is in his third year. He was signed to a three year contract as a UDFA in 2008. In limited relief duty, he's done well enough that some fans like him better than Cutler. He's got good intangibles, throws a good long ball, and has come along well.

Sound familiar?

And what "string" do you think Clausen would be on that same team?

Once again, at least he moved the damn ball, which Cutler couldn't do against the same defense, and he's supposed to be a franchise QB.
